The impact of everything you mentioned to the probability calculation is negligible, based on the probability of any of those events occurring (and if they do, favouring Carlton's chances).

So go on - if the probability of Carlton's current premiership drought extending to 60 years is not circa 18%, what is it?

went 0 and 60 in the first 50 minutes of their Elimination Final?

We were up 71 to 32 from that point forward so technically we won more of the game.

And given Brisbane won the flag, and we beat them in more of the elimiation final, its not a stretch to consider Carlton the best team in the league.

Hold on... Fudger has told us that us leading at quarter time in our prelim vs Brisbane in 2023 was meaningless because they won the majority of the next 3 quarters 🤯

I guess that means our 2024 season was better than our 2023 one.

We are trending up like no other.

All signs are pointing to a 2025 flag.

Are you going to answer all his questions? Now you show me where i mentioned a QF, I'm waiting.
You didn't mention it, probably because you as a Carlton supporter have no reason to understand what it is.

But the way discussions work is that if you saying something that is factually incorrect - for example suggesting Caton were a 'top 4 side' given they played in a Preliminary Final - another poster is entitled to correct you by educating you about Qualifying Finals.

You should be very appreciative of him...

But when you've been the best across the history of the game, as Collingwood have been, we don't need a timeline.
You have won 3 flags in 60 odd years, 5 since WWII, Pies are pretenders

Whereas, in the world according to Carlton supporters, the competition started in 1968 and ended in 1987...
Never said that's when the competition started or ended

Facts are, Carlton were better in 2024 and over the last 80 years, and I doubt there is a living Pie poster to counter a longer period

Oh goody.

More reduced timelines.

We Pies supporters prefer to live in the modern day, or consider all data since the beginning of the competition.

But, but, but <insert reduced timeline>

Now did i say Carlton were a top 4 side no i didn't, what i said was the top 4 sides play off in the prelim to see who goes in the GF. Is that wrong?

You do realise we are on 16 flags each yeah?

Of which, we have won half since the Beetles while the pretenders have won, 3

Facts

Struggling again mate, that's what finals are for the last 4 teams are the best 4 teams at that point, no meaningless games in finals.
Yeah, once you see your team experience more finals, you might start to understand them better.

Port belted by 3rd placed Geelong, fell over the line against 7th placed Hawthorn, and belted by 1st placed Sydney.

GWS narrow loss to 1st placed Sydney, followed by a narrow loss to eventual premier Brisbane.

Port finished 2nd only due to an easy draw, and were exposed in finals.

Hard concept for Carlton to understand, particularly as it doesn't suit their narrative.

The final result still is the best 4 teams standing play off to see who makes the GF, tell me I'm wrong again.

Comprehension mate, where did i mention a QF?
You didn't, as Carlton fans don't understand that the term top 4, or top 2, or 1st all is in relation to the H&A ladder position.

I helped provide context of what a top 4 H&A finish actually leads to. Finish top 4, and you play in a QF in week 1 of finals.

Carlton haven't had a top 4 H&A finish in the 21st century, an ACTIVE 24 year streak entering 2025.
