Opinion Why are the interstate teams so bad? How do we fix them?

No, they support Victorian football andanyway, it doesnt matter what each clubs fans think, its about what the AFL powerbrokers want and after 15yrs of Vic domination it isnt non Vic success i think thats pretty obvious or we wouldnt be having this discussion.
Do you support South Australian football? Go the Crows hey? You realise the CEO is a south Australian?

Who the hell says I’m happy for the cup in Victoria? I live in Vic and I can tell you Victorian’s rather see the cup interstate than into a rival Victorian clubs trophy cabinet.

Would you rather Adelaide win the cup so it’s South Australia?
Yes, thats the difference between me and the average Port/ Adelaide fan, theyre busy hating on each other which plays directly into the AFL's hands.

Pride of South Australia, go the Crows.

Victorians don’t want their rivals winning

Why do we need to fix interstate clubs? My club hasn’t won a flag in 55 years so I couldn’t give a fu** about any interstate club!
And thats fair enough, but the governing body held an inquiry into why you were no good, theyve done no such thing for us.
Its up to your club to capitalise on the situation youve been provided, the AFL cant recruit Ollie Wines, take a mark or kick the goal for you.

It was a bad loss but accept it with some grace.

Home ground, home crowd, Dogs preparation heavily impacted by regulations and a favourable umpiring run.
Deflection.
I dont care about the result and have said it numerous times before and since the opening bounce.
My club will likely never win another flag, im at ease with that as i know a handful of extra Port fans means **** all to the AFL compared to Richmonds growth or Melbourne's should they get ovef the line.
Tell me of one non Vic club who could generate more additional revenue post flag by getting more followers than Richmond, Melbourne, Hawthorn etc.

This is embarrassing...

What is the AFL doing to stop Port winning a flag, they were in a prelim 2 years in a row.

Look internally for why they have not been able to get over the hump, not elsewhere.

If you honestly feel Port will never win another flag because they AFL would prefer Vic teams to win one you honestly should stop following the sport, why would you?

Oh my, you don't care but just decided you would come here and have a good ol melt.

Clubs that would dwarf Vic clubs if they generate more revenue:
Sydney.
GWS.
Brisbane.
GC.

Look integrally for why they have not been able to get over the hump, not elsewhere.

What was stopping Vic clubs between 01 and 06?
Why the inquiry, why not just expect them to get better without it.

See this is where that argument breaks down, the AFL held an inquiry for Victorian football and fixed it overnight, no such inquiry to us despite 15yrs of the pendulum swinging the other way.

Thats embarassing.

Is dynasty teams good for the game? I do want the flag rotated more yes, is that a problem.. how can anyone (other than the club supporters) enjoy Richmond, Geelong and Hawthorn winning flags year after year after year… I’d much prefer to see a more diverse premier list.
Ah ...now I understand what you are ...your the guy who thinks everyone should get a trophy ...probably don't like winners being announced in kids sport...wanna win a grand final ...get angry ..get even ...work hard...use the pain ....and seriously how f@#kin dare you with the who wants to see Richmond win a few flags ...I went through 37 years of pain disappointment and abject humiliation as a tigers supporter ...we earned those flags ...perhaps your entitled bunch should get off there arses and work a bit harder instead of year after year believing the sunshine being blown up your arses by the Adelaide media ...so you seriously want to take away the pain ,drive hurt and will to get better and replace it with a everybody gets a turn system ...yeah right that would be worth watching

You think thats a melt or is that the term you roll out when you have no counter..lol

No one cares about AFL on the GC or in Western Sydney, theyre NRL heartlands, a flag might generate 10k more fans for each if lucky, what was Richmonds membership in 2016 vs 2021.
I bet you dont answer that..lol

Dont bother, i looked for you, a 33+% increase from 72k in 2016 to 100k in 2018

Yep, NRL heartland and if footy takes a grip, your melts will be directed that way, they will dwarf Vic clubs.

Now instead of bitching about how big Richmond have become, how about promoting your club and use Richmond as a goal.

You seem the kind of person that thinks if you fail, everyone should fail.

Now thats a melt, thankfully you have 3 recent flags or your attitude might be very different.

If's, butt's.

Do i, no one ever held an inquiry into why were no good, why didnt the AFL just continue letting Vic clubs fail, or should we all fail because you lot did.

All I’m hearing is a lot of whinging from someone who’s team just got flogged in a home preliminary final in a game they expected to win who is now looking for excuses

All South Australian, Western Australian and NSW clubs have made Grand Finals over the last 15 years. You can’t just expect them to always be top 4 every year.
