As much as I would be happy to see your club match that level of mediocrity, I fear that Collingwood will always be more underwhelming than Essendon.

People dislike Collingwood because they are favoured by the AFL unfairly. Every year they get an awesome draw, hardly ever leave victoria. Gifted one of the biggest games of the home and away season every year. Won't even let port use their traditional guernsey, even in heritage round. Eddie maguire. Maggots love you, you talk up your players like they are gods ect.

The way eddie uses his position to gain unfair advantage over the other teams is my main gripe with collingwood. They are a bunch of fricking cheats.
The draw is biased to favour them as is the umpiring. Weve played collingwood twice in the last three season after having a 6 day break after playing in darwin. Even after rigging the draw they had to get biased umpiring to get their arses over the line.
Collingwood = cheats.
This is why I hate them.

Nah, you're not alone. I'm (obviously) not a Collingwood fan, but I don't waste any time or energy hating them. Like 94_Eagles, there are other teams I dislike more.

I do dislike their arrogance and agree with other people's suggestions that they believe they're bigger than the competition, but if other teams could get away with the stuff Collingwood does, they probably would. Can't begrudge them that, I guess.

I used to barrack for the woods. Then when port entered they were my second team. But now, having been in the competition for a while, my hate for the woods has fermented like a fine wine. ( we will wear our black & white one day you pricks)

Seriously though everybody loves to hate collingwood, like people love to hate port in the sanfl. Life would be very boring without these rivalries. Sometimes I think alot of the sanfl supporters hate port more than they like their own team, and they seem to get some sort of perverse satisfaction out of their grudge.
