Chris Scott's finals win percentage getting a bit worrisome now.

Stengle must had had a night out on the bags again. One of the worst finals performances I've seen in a long time.

Clearly a case of a club turning a blind eye will eventually catch up with you. He so played for himself tonight he was terrible!

AA Dylan Moore says hold my beer with his back-to-back stinkers.

2 kicks off another flag shot, plenty of reason to be optimistic going forward. 4 recent flags, always in the hunt, would love that record, people talk shit .

They have probably eclipsed the turn of the century bombers as the biggest underachievers of the last half century or so, purely by how prolonged the affliction is now. One solitary, lone flag in almost a decade and a half of so-called ‘dominance’, top four finishes, ‘amazing winning percentage!’ and so on.

Disappointing.

Rubbish, they have finished top 4 in years they aren’t even that good, like this year. They have been maxing out their list.

Anyone who think a side which contains Stanley, Bruhn, Atkins, Bowes as pivotal to your midfield mix is some juggernaut is a bit dense.

It’s the constant back flipping that makes no sense.

One minute we get “everyone” (which isn’t even remotely true) and it’s “unfair” (by doing what every team in the League does?) when we win but then we lose everyone say how shit our list is and players are old, crap, list cloggers blah blah blah

Can’t make up their minds, just change to suit the narrative.

If we get Bailey Smith for unders, it’ll somehow be “unfair”
Just you watch lol

I find it constantly remarkable and hilarious how people quote a post without addressing what’s been said in it, making it blatantly obvious they didn’t actually read or comprehend it.

The finals win record with Scott surprised me I must admit. I thought it would be higher.

I suppose though, it's partly the amount of the times the Cats have been "old and gone" and still made finals. He did extremely well to get them there so often, to be in it to win it, and hey presto, a couple flags eventuated. Though I guess the 2011 team was basically a ready-made premiership side.

finals win records are slightly misleading. Finish 4th and you're likely going 1-2. Finish 5th and it's probably 1-1. Are you a better team/coach for losing the semi, or for losing the PF?

Sam Mitchell had a 50% finals record in 2024 for beating 7th placed Bulldogs and losing to the 2nd placed Port Adelaide.

Chris Scott had a 50% finals record in 2024 after flogging the 2nd placed Port Adelaide (who beat Hawthorn), and losing to the eventual premiers.

Adding Jack Martin, Bailey Smith and Clayton Oliver.

How are they only 6th favourites for the flag? Almost unbackable I would have thought

Martin is incidental and to be honest I would hope we aren’t going to shell out much for him because let’s be honest - if he’s fit, he’s going to be somewhere in a role that we already have well covered.

of we get Oliver we still don’t know which Oliver will turn up
