My preferred inform and available best 22
Excluding Crameri at the minute

B: JJ Adams Morris
HB: MurpHy Wood Biggs
C: Hunter Bontempelli Macrae
HF: Dale Cloke Mcclean
F: T Boyd Stringer Dickson

R: Roughead, Liberatore, Dalhaus
IC:picken, Daniel, Cordy, Wallis

Emergencies: Smith, Jong, MBoyd

Over looked:Dunkley Suckling, Williams, Redpath, Roberts

Cordy gives balance and some rotation to the talls and gives us flexibility and in game injury cover.

The baby faced double on the forward flanks, I like it.

How many wins did we have this time last year? Guess we are travelling about the same in games won though not playing quite as well? Injuries last year seemed worse But yeah making the four would be huge

7-3 last year. 6-4 now.

It's a good place to be in because the draw opens up for us now. If we can keep our excellent track record against the Swans intact this week we're in a good place with (I think) Melbourne, North and West Choke all at Etihad rounding out the month. 10-4 would be a great platform leading into the pointy end.

teams going back2back is looking ok this year in sports

real Madrid
juve
Pittsburgh penguins – back2 back finals
Cleveland – back2 back finals

Dogs.... ??

its looking likely that we wont be making a GF either this season or next
shades of the hawks 09 about this

our list isnt good enough to get us to our next flag IMO
solid core group - similar to the hawks

but we do need a few quality players if we are going to contend with GWS

I had us penned for a flag this year, followed by an off year and pushing again for the next 2 years after that. Looks like my guesses were a year later than what's happening

If we are having a gap year, it's not such a bad thing. The Cats won three flags over five years, so despite our current troubles, we'll be fine.

Doesn't look like it this year, which is damn frustrating because there are question marks over all the other contenders and the dogs are the only ones with recent MCG finals form.

Finishing 5-8 looks the best case scenario, likely requiring two or maybe three interstate trips or playing against Geelong who we haven't beaten for eons. Maybe the tigers but not sure how else we get a couple of games in Melbourne.

Obviously recent history suggests it can be done but I wouldn't bank on it given the lack of quality performances this year.

Oh ye of little faith ... Of course we will. Premiers 2017 and 2018.
I live in Bloomington, Illinois, and have followed the Bulldogs since 1949. I saw Teddy Whitten play his first game, and once worked in the scoreboard at what is now called the Whitten Oval. I watch the Dogs every week with my wife-- live on our 60 inch screen (yes, over here they're still in inches). We hope to return permanently to Oz early in 2018. I went to Hyde Street School, 1949 to 1955. If you read this Chicago I, we intended to make contact with you, but you beat us back to Australia.

TVs still measured in inches here in Oz.

Stop regurgitating the media bull5hit hype over GWS. 'If we are going to compete with GWS' my arse. Macrae got his head ripped of with 29 seconds to go 30 meters out and wasn't paid the obvious free. He kicks that and we win the game. I call that competing...

Correct. GWS have pulled a Steve Bradbury plenty of times already this year and finally they got their just desserts. The hype is crap, they're as gettable as anyone.

your right
i think if we look at it , since hawks/cats demise they were A+ team
all the teams currently now are like B grade sides compared to them and the gap is closer from the top-mid tier sides

the premiership could be won from 5-8 again

I agree that it doesn't look like we will be playing in the GF this year but next year is way too early to call. We still have a young core group. If we pull off some savvy recruiting and get our hunger back we could be right back up there next year.
