I feel ambivalent about Malthouse's big night. He's currently the coach of Carlton; the man who refused to honour his contract and left us in the lurch But he's a Collingwood premiership coach and maybe that excuses almost everything.

Where do you stand on this? I'm trying to source my inner Dalai Lama and rise above any petty resentment. But it's a struggle.

F*** that guy..

Nah, to be honest I don't really care for him. Forever grateful for delivering us a premiership, but the way he's carried on the last 4 years has almost brought it all undone.

I know how you feel. I'm too undecided to vote in my own thread. :$

He deserves respect for his accomplishment.. by the same token, he has shown little respect for those he has coached.

But overall, coaching Carlton is the most unpardonable of all sins. Thus, I will jeer.

Leaving us in the lurch is a little strong... He left a role that didn't really exist, nor did it really need to, except as a way of providing him with an additiona three years salary while we transitioned the coaching role to Bucks...

Like Beams, he is now the enemy.
When Beams finishes playing, and Malthouse finishes coaching, they will be welcomed back into the club and my heart.
Though old Malty never had a place there, so maybe he can just heck off forever.
In reality, he is a man who has always put himself above all others.
His breaking of his agreement with Collingwood.
His decision to resume coaching when his family advised against it. Which now leads to his public whinging of his wife's tears. (no, I don't believed she cried about his lack of a new contract. Total self serving bullshit)
For me, I'd be happy if he never has any association with the famous black and white stripes ever again.

No toast, will enjoy watching Blues fans applaud Mick Malthouse - who woulda thunk it.

This,

Carlton supporters applauding a Collingwood premiership coach. All while their own team is going nowhere fast.

I will have a drink of special red wine and toast his demise.
