2. The Roys
While I am being self indulgent... Have to love the work of my own team. Winning the Charity Shield, then putting the dragons to the sword in round 1.
Granted this likely to all fall in a heap after half a dozen rounds, as is the Roys way, but, for now.. we are claiming the recruit of league legend MannumPower as making the difference

3. The Rookies
Rookies are what make this league continue to continue, and then stepping up round 1 is what we love to see. Top work by SpaceClef , VSTone , Far Kern and Keg on legs ... and anyone else I may have forgotten. Keep up the good work, it takes a particularly awesome poster to take out the EKA, and to be able to handle or embrace the curse that comes with it.. promising start so far

4. The Filth Wizard
The league admin rightly cops abuse for anything and everything he does, but he has started the season being both strong but fair, 2 captains suspended for not following rules to the letter of the law, after all the crap with it last year sends a strong message, dealing with #DrawGate in a fair and balanced manner, despite his own team being involved also earns brownie points with me.

5. Qooty is back
Let's be honest it is why we are all here, our own club boards are all just awful and we enjoy the freedom of this place, and then feeling like we are superstars on the footy field (did I mention I kicked 4.3 and had 40 touches? Get around me) Qooty is what brings us all together, and the season starting back again fills us all with hope before the cruel mistress that is the Sim screws over the Roys and several other teams

1. Dobbers
campaigners that examine every team sheet, little pecker in hand, just hoping to find a comma instead of a colon, or a letter not bolded or capitalised so they can dob on the captains involved need to take a good hard look at themselves... Doesn't change the outcome of the game, just wastes peoples time.

2. Naughty captains
Seriously how ****ing hard is it to do the team sheet properly? After last season and know that the ClarkeM 's of this league are lurking just waiting for the chance to throw someone under the bus, why give them the chance? An untrained monkey could do it and get it right... yet here we are with 2 captains missing games this week for stupidity

3. #DrawGate #HomeGate #ShutTheGate
Round 1 and we are off to a controversial start, the Swamprats for some reason decided to show up at Waverly for their home game against the Hawks. The game finished a draw and the captains are divided. Doctor ColossusPants is happy to take the draw keeping 2 points rather than risking having 0, new skip Millky95 is demanding a re-sim and has been largely ignored, despite the godfather declaring that the home ground doesn't actually matter it is a matter of principle and potentially a sign of simmer errors to come. To add to the Swamprats misery a Rats player marked within range and was not allowed a shot after the siren to win the game

4. This Thread
In hindsight committing to a season long weekly thread may not have been my brightest idea, week 2 and I am already over it

Not to piss in your pocket but I hope this isn't true. One of my favourite new media threads (despite the "like" looking like Sweet FA committee propaganda) and one I'm surprised I haven't seen before.

In my defence I made that thread before i had actually checked whether the teams were correct. I thought, SURELY nobody would be incompetent enough to get it wrong for the first game.

I decided after I made the thread that I had better do my due dilligence and actually confirm that the teams were correct as i was claiming, and lo and behold the first team i checked had stuffed it up. So I had to go on a witch hunt in order to save face...

1. Rookies
I mentioned them last week, but the rookies are absolutely thriving so far... there are a shit load of them, they are very active. Starting and involved in media and not afraid to go toe to toe with some of the 'big boys' of the league.
2. The Demons
Of the AFL variety, not the Sweet FA ones who I have no idea if they won or lost... but the Melbourne Demons beating the Hawks, for fans of 17 sides in the comp... Bloody glorious
3. Cloud_
Stepping up to become the new Danoz like a champ, stats are part of the beauty of this league, a thankless long and I assume boring as batshit task that no one really wants to do. The artist formally known as CC and something to do with a squirel has stepped up to give people that play wells ego the stroking it deserves. Shit name changes aside it is fantastic work
4. The Olympics
Like it or hate it, I don't really care. I love it... Sport on non stop for the next 2 weeks. What isn't too love, and the chance to be an armchair expert on the diving only comes around once every 4 years
5. Blacky
Commitment to a weekly media thread is a big ask, I for one am already full of regret. But one that involves going through every game and picking out the best players in every position.. I take my hat off to you good sir, and to anyone else that has done it previously. Huge effort and being done very well so far

talk about chocolates to boiled lollies, 1 week universally heralded as one of the all time great games, the next week one of the shittest games of the week. I would also like to throw out a large **** you to the sim for how I was handled, but will get to that later

Shut the **** up.... seriously we get that you are excited, but good lord slow down and stop posting so much. This league isn't built to handle so much processed meat. More quality less quantity thanks
3. The Sim
One week I am amazing, the next week shifted to the back pocket mid way into the 1st quarter, then just taken from the ground in the 2nd for the rest of the game. The cruel mistress that is the Sim loves nothing more than to shit all over someones day. The Bombers also had the pleasure of playing a player short due to poor ol beez not even getting a single minute on the ground.... lol
4. To bold or not to bold, that is the question
As much fun as it is to try and scare a captain and point and laugh at them for a minor team sheet error, it is also a complete and utter waste of time. Instead of pages of dribble about int vs INT surely some actual effort could be put into maybe starting a good media thread? Was funny last year with the tribunal, funny the 1st round cos ClarkeM got suspended... now it is time to move on
5. Random Typing
ummm I have no idea what to put for this one, I haven't really had a chance to do much research and I also can't be bothered. So basically I am just typing stuff here to make it look like I have put in a proper effort. Congratulations, if you have read this far you will have seen that I have really half arsed it.
I have typed a few lines now though, so the people that just skim will be none the wiser.
