Yep, I remember Jordan Murdoch had a raking left foot, but had no kicking ability whatsoever on his non preferred side. This kid looks a real power player… Stringer Petrrica type at the lower level…. like to see what he does when that left side if covered
I used to say this about Murdoch. He always received the ball way too close to congestion and it cramped him. This kid looks a real power player… Stringer Petrrica type at the lower level…. like to see what he does when that left side if covered

Isaac Smith was the opposite.
Left footers have to maintain width from the contest.

Agree Tony Barber - he also used to run too far with the footy and get into trouble , forcing a rushed disposal.I used to say this about Murdoch. He always received the ball way too close to congestion and it cramped him.

Whether you're left or right foot should be irrelevant to how inside you play.Agree Tony Barber - he also used to run too far with the footy and get into trouble , forcing a rushed disposal.
Used to annoy the crap out of me.

Agree- I was just pointing out that Murdoch would be in the clear and run himself into trouble , he would have ample time to dispose of the footy effectively but would run himself into pressure and invariably fluff the disposal.Whether you're left or right foot should be irrelevant to how inside you play.
Yeah true sounds like an issue with quick decision makingAgree- I was just pointing out that Murdoch would be in the clear and run himself into trouble , he would have ample time to dispose of the footy effectively but would run himself into pressure and invariably fluff the disposal.
Tanner doesnt get enough credit for his leftWhich doesn't bother me, not to many of our players regularly use their off foot, it is main Z.Guthrie and Bruhn. I'm not counting Humphries
If only the VFL was still the Bankers. Banker the Banker.Law Firm!
(Rich List is better)
Seems like a selfless player. All the commentary is about how hard he works up and down the ground, getting back to help in defence. My concern is his disposal numbers are really low, maybe he needs to find a balance and be a bit ‘front running’ at times. Anyway, very early days.
Was listening to some guys that are pretty knowledgeable on the draft, they said he as a monster left boot, very good athlete and a really good person. Has apparently been hampered abit with hamstring issues the last 18 months which held back his draft stocks. They said they loved the pick. Sounds like he’s gonna be a pretty easy guy to root for. Love getting in another lefty too.
Far out, I hope you're proved right, I do like the look of him, strong at the ball with skills. This guys got real pace and rugby levels of strength and power. And has afl skills to go with it. Could be anything...
Someone was a naughty boy on the weekend!
