This may have done before - but what is the worst game of football that you have seen - and why.

I'm going to say the Richmond- Adelaide game where Richmond won but in one of the worst displays of non- contact football ever seen.

Tiges v Hawks R22 a few years ago (not the one where Zantick put Williams' head 6 feet under) - have never wanted a game to end so much, irrespective of the result. Turnover city, completely meaningless game

Are you crazy? That was a great game!

people get distracted by the result. It was a great contest but the skills and gameplans were shocking. Carlton were just bombing the ball into their forward line regardless of how many players we had bak there

It was two teams having a genuine go, relentless attacking. Both teams knew they were a real chance at winning, that's rare nowadays. I loved that game, 2nd best I attended this year behind the 2nd Collingwood game. (I missed the Brisbane game)

I went along with a Richmond mate to Tigers vs. Swans at Docklands in about round 7 this year. Richmond had some established defenders out, as a result their backline was very young and looked like they weighed a combined total of 100kg.....stickfigures.

Barry Hall had a day out, we left 5mins into the last quarter after Big Bazza took about his 17th mark in the forward 50.

Worst game in recent memory.

The North v Eagles game at Subiaco last season was a particularly dull affair. Despite a couple of highlights in the forms a Quinten Lynch 75m bomb and a Sav Rocca 60m goal into the teeth of a 20 knot breeze, this game just never appeared anything like entertainment.

Port Adelade v Richmond night game at AAMI some years back (might have been 2001?) - Richmond came to town in damage limitation mode, Port couldn't put them away in the first three quarters and for a scary moment at the start of the last quarter, Richmond kicked a couple and I thought they might have had a silly chance... the football was atrocious.

The Richmond V Carlton game this year (MCG Friday Night....early in the season) was probably the worst game of Football I had seen for a long time.

I'm with you, I remember the punters at the game laughing at how crap it was...that first half was a freakin embarrassment...the second half proved slightly better but undoubtedly the worst game I have ever seen...:thumbsu:

I had the displeasure of seeing 2 Hawthorn games this year.

Hawthorn V Sydney - MCG
Collingwood V Hawthorn - MCG

Both horrible, horrible affairs as the game was over by half time and all you wanted to do was hit the pub. Too much flooding :(

The 2006 GF between WC and sydney was an absolute shocker. It was appalling to watch and had no excitement watsoever. litterally bored me ********less

Swans vs St.Kilda in 2002 was disgraceful.

Swans vs Fremantle in 2001 I think was also very ordinary. I can remember Roy and H.G bagging it on TV the following week.

I enjoyed that game. But I was watching it at the AFL club in Sydney with a beer or two and texting Tigers' mates who were at the game. They stopped returning my calls.
