Aren't we a bit arrogant? I didn't even know you posted on bigfooty till tonight, only took me a couple of minutes to find it, anyway, pathetic hypocrites like you are easy to ridicule.

see the thing is all the sydney player needed to do (forgot who it was) was lay a basic tackle and it was holding the ball except he grabbed him by the neck basically

i know it was shocking but i have seen worse.

but when u think of brock mclean tonight u will think of his BOG preformance not some stupid decision against him

Arent we a little bit arrogant that we would post a thread on
one decision from a crap game that no one gives a sh$t about

For a game that no one gives a sh$t about you seem to be getting pretty worked up over this thread ;)

When's Hawthorn playing this weekend so I can have a laugh?

Blatant wrong decision. The Swans player hung his head when the whistle went, clearly expecting the free to go against him. Doesn't matter now.

What a crock.
All part of this prior opportunity obsession. It seems anything goes, if the player has had prior opportunity.
But a high tackle is still a high tackle.

The umpire made an obvious mistake in the heat of the moment. Players do it all the time. The umpire probably knew he ********ed up as soon as he made the decision. He didn't expect the player to lay such a crap tackle. Get over it.

Bob

P.S. I actually know of an umpire (no, it wasn't me!) who had something similar happen to him. A player was running down the wing, An opposition player confronted the player with the ball and layed a blatant leg trip. The umpire told me that even though he "knew" it was a free kick for a trip, for some reason, the automatic nerve system took over and signalled holding-the-ball instead of a trip. When that happens, you suddenly think "WTF did I just do?", you panic for a second then just have to wear the cream in the face.

How embarrassing!

It was a bad decision, but no worse than many others that get made in the heat of the moment in almost every game played during a season.

You won the game comfortably and yet you still want to bawl about a single decision that had no bearing on the result of the match??!!

Presumably every call that Melbourne got on the night was 100% incontravertably correct, as is per usual

we got some ******** ones for us but more against like usual

we are second last in the free kick ladder

if only i could play a highlight reel of all the ******** ones payed against us this year

How the hell can you claim that is the worst in history? Did it cost you the game?
No, so STFU.

Like i really meant it was the actual worst decision in the history of the game of Aussie Rules football, ffs d$ckhead that's just a way of saying that I thought it was a friggen bad error by the umpire.

At least I don't use the umpires as an excuse for losing a game.

Can't you support your arguement without resorting to personal insults? You have made a fool of yourself and are now attacking other people. It didn't have an effect on the outcome of the game, go have a cry.

Actually I posted this while the game was still playing so the result of the game had nothing to do with it, which makes your main point invalid and your rant irrelevant.

The point that I was trying to make was how could 3 umpires manage to miss such a blatant and obvious free kick? It wasn't due to viewing angle cause he was spun around by his head so regardless of where the umpires where standing they would have had a clear view of the incident. The AFL has recently gone on about how it's unacceptable to have any physical contact with the head in any sort of way, the recent tribunal cases of Scotland and Moloney are good examples.
So how could the umpires make this blatant error?
What's going through their heads?
It seems like they're hell bent on playing the holding the ball decision that they neglect any other rulings, which to me is not how football should be. I'm just sick and tired of seeing blatantly wrong decisions whenever I watch a game of football.

Flame me as much as you want but every week there are threads created about blatant wrong decisions that are made, I think these errors are due to the way the umpires 'think' (or lack thereof) during a game. It's like they're trying to get theatrical with their decisions and get their faces on tv.
