In Round 2 an opposition player was called to play on from full back when kicking out. He walked the ball back over the line. According to the rules this is a ball up at the top of the square. The umpire just paid a point. I knew the rule and yelled out to the umpire. Unfortunately I made the mistake of swearing so the umpire then paid a 50 against us.

The coach should never abuse the umpire or the opposition.

I know Stats are not a true indication of best players but in this league you have to earn your kicks and if someone has 30 plus times he would be in my opinion one of the better players on the ground(providing he is efficent).

I am just saying the umpires would have no idea who had had what possesion wise and alot of the time would be making calculated guesses in there aprasial of the 3,2 and 1 voteing system for league B&F.

Our stats man needs to stay of the piss and keep his eye on the game lol.:thumbsu:

Or you need to evaluate what you want to get out of footy. I think you will find the goals taken and reported are more accurate than you think. League goal kickers are reported by the goal umpires aren't they? Club stats are usually taken to be an indication and not much more.

No. The clubs supply this info and what is supplied and what is registered on the website is not always the same.

Guys if your biggest issue is the quality of umpire running around you must have the best sides ever recorded in the history of the game. No umpires=No game simple. If they have such an influence on the game give the little soap dodgers a number and start recording their stats. The overall team result is of far greater importance than 1, Umpires, 2,Stats taken by ones self. You all as players know if you have had a good game when the scoarboard shows a win. Discipline will teach the players to ignor the arse clowns and soon enough they will go back to their little closets and you guys can go about the business of talking about games rather than umpires and stats. Yes it's Friday afternoon so spark up people.

kruger which has been parksides best player is 50/50 in playing 2moro plus davis, spencer and sir are out for parkside. they are easily the best 4 players at the club. this will be the worst parkside team this year but will still beat braybook which they too have injuries. will be interesting to see how parkside go without these players.

Just wondering about a guy named Glenn Gilbert that plays for Coburg Districts? Anyone got any info? All the best for the weekend for all teams.

Yarra had a big win today aginst Nth Sunshine by 20 goals. There a very undispalined side Nth Sunshine and need to have a good look at themselves and the attitude and behaviour on field is a disgrace.

Its sad as a former premiership player at the club that the club has fallen to such a low. I hope the club can rebuild but i think the future at the club is looking grim and i think if things dont change they will fold.

All you guys who give cheap shots from Nth Sunshine you are a bunch of illdispalined cowards and need to learn to keep your mouth shut. All you do is continuely let your team down and that is a big reason you sit bottom of the ladder.

The game was played in the wrong spirit and i hope you guys pick your game up and worry about winning the football and kicking some goals.

IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

4 Goals was a bit steep ROOS, but deer park did walk away with the win maybe weapons knows something we all don't. Deer Park are a real contender this year, and should really be 5-0, not 4-1. The game was a rippa and both played really well, considering the conditions

How about cain, you pull ur head in. if you seem to know so much about the game today did you actually see the reserves? number 8 for yarra thought he was so tough he jumped the smallest bloke on our team and copped what he deserved. For those who don't know he was left on the ground crying like a baby.

Just going thru post's and saw your's,what ever happened there is no point bringing it here.

I realise that blood. But the guy had a stab, it doesn't matter if he was a past player but we don't need the extra criticism. we are rebuilding hopefully it'll get better.

so you rebuild by actions on and off the field. You don't go around saying guys got belted and 'got what they deserved'.......doesn't help the game or the club. I'm hardly sure number 8 warranted the amount of players sent off for north during the day. Pretty sure there were three off at last count when I left in the seniors.

Congratulations to Albanvale yesterday on there win over my team. The match was played in very good spirits with no incidents to report on. Overall the umpiring was quite good and they were more than approachable as they should be.

On a down side:thumbsdown:, another significant injury to an Albanvale player in the last qtr. A badly dislocated ankle. Good luck to him on coming back soon.:thumbsu:

Also great to see almost all of the Albanvale team hang around for a beer after the game. Great effort in supporting other clubs and we will return the favour later in the year.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

All the best

Yeah it was a tight, tough tussle. Disappointing to lose. Looked like the Devils might kick away at certain stages before half time, but the Lions hung in there. Momentum swung in the 3rd quarter and DP started to get on top. Topsy turvy last quarter with DP probably deserved winners in the end. Devils full forward had a chance to win the match in the dying stages, but unfortunately hit the post 20 metres straight in front.

Devils gave away some goals through 50 metre penalties and some sloppy turnovers at the back. Not one to bag umpiring on BFooty usually, but...... I have to say it was absolutely appalling. Older umpires with egos, wearing pink shirts and doing their best to take centre stage.

Full credit to Deer Park. If they can back it up and beat Albanvale next week they will be a top 3 contender.

Im new to the WRFL. I thaught the umpiring was pretty spot on at the Deer Park match, sure they were paying soft free kicks all game but they were absolutely consistent and thats all you can ask for out of umpires. ALL players knew where they stood and 99% of the time free kicks were awarded to players actually making play (players who got in to the ball first or who played in front).

This type of umpiring is what the WRFL needs in my honest opinion.

I did post last week that Deer Park are a good team and all teams should be on notice when playing them. They impressed me and obviously by the result yesterday confirms they are on the right track. It makes Yarravilles win last week even more impresive.

Yarra continue to make steady imrpovement and we are working for one another and really starting to run and carry the football well. We still have 5 to come back in and i am very much looking forward to playing Nth Footscray, Parkside, Albanvale again as i think we can atleast be competetive with these teams.

We are improving week to week and all those who posted that we are shit where well off the mark. We are a good team with some very good footballers combined with youth the future at the club looks great and for the first time year i actually belive that we will be a threat to all.

Obviosuly injuries play a massive part in any teams sucess but the signs are good down Yarra way.

A big Congrats to Whydhamvale for there first win well done to Deer Park on there fantatic win. as i stated before i think Parkside are the yardstick and the team to beat but a lot hinges on the fitness of Patty Davis. With out Davis Parkside are still the team to beat but in my opinion are a much diffrent team with out him.

Went down to watch Braybrook V Parkside
really high scoring game of footy with parkside just getting away with the 4 points. Scoreboard flattered Parkside as they simply just piled it on in the last with no. 13 kicking 5 or so. Full credit to Braybrook played pretty impressivly however parkside didnt play there best footy for most of the game when they did they didn't look challenged. Best for Parkside was number 5 as i mentioned kicked a bag and number 5 got tons of it looked all class. For Braybrook was: Jamie Lane or number 15 or 16 not sure got a bit of it looked pretty good.

Any one got a run down of the Coburg vs wyhndemvale game?

yeah a quik run down on dat game, in my opinion it was a great game.was only going to watch under a half then go to the hoppers colt game but ended up stayin for hole game.
i thought windhemvale were great and ran the ball really well and seemed to attack all day, altho ther skills still need a bit to be near the top teams they won the footy and ran hard all day. cobug in my opinion eyes looked as if they underestimted windhemvale and like a few people have sed on here that could be a big mistake against them and it was.
coburg look to be a even side and relly on only a few to do the job for em. the falcons are looking better and seem to have found yet another handful of tough handy players that nearly completes there teasm. they seem to struggle to kick lots of goals and miss angwin cos the way they put ball in forward line would advantage him but without him it sort of evens them up a bit. but they looked the goods. dont know how good coburg are and when they hit th front early ikn last 1/4 they try to save game and put 3 or 4 behind ball where evo told vales no matter what attack the game till the siren good call i reckon. if coburg pushed parksid and nth fotscry then windhemvale may do well next week, i will be there cos parksid have best canteen in melbourne, wish they were open on the way to work every morn lol.
whot do people think of falcons this year. could they make finals and what do u think of ther coach? i still not sure bout him he seems to positive and calm and i think he does not get into his players enouf when they do wrong. just what i se3en at games and 3 trainin i watched. they had a good blonde forward who looked dsangerous.

Great to see a couple of upsets on the we witnessed the Deer Park Game against the Devils great game of footy was a real battle the whole way with some great footy played from both sides. Feel for the bloke who missed it at the end think deer park deserved the result there play throughout the whole game was excellent. Umpiring was average looked the part two in pink :S some avge free kicks especially some soft downfields to both teams not making excuses for the devils. Ill hav a crack at the best as that seems to be the go
Deer Park: number 36 won the match, number 25 got alot of it around the ground, Number 14 small kid played well around the ground
Nth Footscray: number 20 looked classy didnt hav an influence in the last half had a heavy tag however, number 1 got it all over the ground carried the footy, number 26 small cruming forward kicked sum handy goals to keep them in it in the last

I think Whdhamvale are on the right track but think finals is out of the question this year. With only 1 win after 5 games there almost certainy not in contention for a finals spot.

If they continue to develop there definetly on the right track to play finals football in the next couple of seasons. Its good for the league and the standard of competition.

Now all we need is Nth Sunshine to either fold or to pull there socks up so we have a great competetion and probally the healthiest the Div 2 league has ever been.

Umpireing was yesterday very very strange. I had a guy hit me after i took a mark and he was sent off. I thought an automatic 50 would follow. I asked the ump isnt that an auto 50 he replies "I Dont Know"... I said Fair Enough lol.....

Those good dam footballs we use are a disgrace i urge all clubs coaches to lobby to league to change footballs. We cant do anything about the umpires but we sure as hell can do something about the quality of footballs we use....
