So 14 teams in div 2? Would that be the most teams in one division in local footy in metro Melbourne?

no idea... doesnt make sense 2 me... div 2 with 8 teams and div 3 with 6 would work well if u ask me... bet lavo and nth sunshine would prefer to play each other 3 times then glenorden/parkside 3 or 4 times

Agreed. I wish the wrfl would offer some explanation. Would sanctuary lakes stating they wouldn't have senior side if they were in div 3 have had any affect on this decision?

my understanding is there will only be 2 divvys the league was hoping for 2 more sides to come across but looks as if thats not happening
which 2 clubs were they hoping for?

they finished above north sunshine, laverton and west footscray who they beat. were flogged by the top 3 teams quite convincingly which included 2 30 goal thrashings by manor lakes with sunny heights and wv putting them away with ease aswell.

i cant see how they think they shouldnt be in divvy 3

I heard all teams are playing each other once and after that the bottom 6 will be starting a divvy 3, the same as the EDFL did.

Worked very well in the EDFL the year they did it, created huge interest(where there would be none) that year especially in the middle before the split.
This year clubs like Hillside, Moonee Valley, East Keilor and even Keilor Park reported much better interest and attendance by supporters because they played finals... It was a win/win for everyone

might have a go at who i think will be top 5 in medal tonight.
1st. c.hunter, good player in in side that won most games, didnt see much to take votes off him
2nd. j.fortune, best player in div 2 for me, but to many good players to take votes off him, hope im wrong
3rd. number 6 parkside fluffy.name escapes me, but gets a lot of footy.
4th. jess lampi, kids a standout in lower team.
5th. devon ellis. saw him go alright against orden might be up there.

the smokey would be young josh mac, keep your eye on his votes.

In the Division Two Senior Best and Fairest, captain of one of the league’s newest clubs, Jessi Lampi from Sanctuary Lakes, was awarded the Alan Smith Medal on 26 votes, ahead of Wyndhamvale’s Devan Ellis and Glen Orden’s Jesse Fortune, who finished the night on 23 and 21 votes respectively.

good on the kid.

Isn't Jordan his brother the captain?

Good effort by Jessi.

Not sure of the right forum to post this. It's the Tarneit Titans jumper who will play in the WRFL in 2014.
