saw someone on reddit mention that some stuff on Binge has been removed already? still ok for me on Foxtel IQ5 (for now) (but I've downloaded a lot of Nitros and WCW PPVs over this weekend, so fun times for me)

High seas?

With the WWE Channel finishing up it did get me wondering, will we get to keep any recordings we have?

I’ve still got all the PPV’s recorded on my Foxtel box since the channel started and would hate to lose them, anyone know what the likelihood is?

I've spent the last 10 years being too lazy to offload my DVDs - and in fact, buying more, like when the Shock distribution ended and JB were selling everything off for insane prices, or when the blu-rays ended and between JB and Big W you could get everything for 10-15 bucks.

Suddenly I'm a "genius" for being so lazy + stingy!

I’m disappointed I wasn’t following much when that happened, but I’ve still got a shitload of DVDs/Blu rays from back when wrestling was good, before the Roman era!!!

Probably only a handful of stuff came out in the last few years that I may have picked up, having all the WWE 24 Docos would have been nice.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow... My assumption is that if it's saved on the Foxtel box hard drive, it should be ok?

Edit: I marked my recordings as ‘keep’, in case that matters….

Post midnight edit: my recordings still work

I've still got my WWE DVDs (the older WrestleMania Anthology box set...... ruined by the blurred WWF logo lol, the Summer Slam box set shaped like a cooler), many ppvs from 99-2007 (when I stopped outside of just getting the WMs each year), wrestler profiles etc.

Went through a phase where I downloaded a lot of WWE content in the 2010s (mostly influenced by the Bayley/Sasha Banks stuff)

I liked subbing to the Network every few years just to re-watch my favourite ppvs and Raw/SD episodes, unsubscribing... then doing so again after a few months/years. Only did it a handful of times on Binge as well lol. I'd do the same thing on Netflix (I've never actually subscribed to Netflix, so it would be a first) IF they do carry over the classic content (hopefully it's more than just the ppvs... I need my classic RAW episodes from 1999 damn it!!).

Sounds like we’ll have archives of RAW, NXT and SD, so no issues there.

Sounds like you and I would have wildly similar collections, even down to the years, and to getting just the WMs and some of the wrestler docos, and having a hard drive full of Bayley-era NXT!

I got excited in the late 90's and early 00's when Target brought old older (at the time) doco titles (cause stone cold said so, DX, WWE RAW highlights) and some older ppv's (the 97 DX ppv, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble) on VHS. My VHS copy of Beyond The Mat was also purchased at a Target back in the day.

Yeah mine pretty much kicked off when Australia finally started getting more WWF content 2000/01ish.
Did snare the rare US only relaeses (eg Suimmer Slam 1999).

From memory Australia did get the 2000 era version of this: https://www.wrestlingdvdnetwork.com/treasures-wwf-classic-five-2001-dvd/45330/

My first actual WWF dvd when they were released here was WrestleMania X8. Had the choice between that and other ppv's they initially released at the time (2002 Royal Rumble, No Way Out and the 5 majors from 2001). I didn't get WrestleMania X-7 until years later (via the UKs Silvervision label on ebay).

As with everyone I did rotate between K-Mart, Target, Big W and JB Hifi to get the dvds. The NXT dvd's that I have (the compolation releases etc) were purchased on the cheap from Big W clearances. Some of the titles I didn't officially buy, but have dvd copies of were from video shops getting rid of their titles it's how I got Vengeance 2001 where Chris Jericho beat The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1 night - yes I remember the WWF/E tag lines... next I'll be saying how the Network used to be 9.99 (US) lol.

I decided to buy "less" of the titles available as really that point in time, a lot of the ppv's were non-events (eg: the December ones I could live without owning). It also coincided where I felt the predicitbility was awful - so I was content with keeping tabs via reading results instead of watching live.

It's why streaming can be bad, if/when the content we used to have gets taken away. I'd love it if they had a service where you could select xyz event and they put it on dvd for you (similar to the AFL's old name a game service).... wouldn't happen today, but nice to dream.
