but War Games makes no sense with the faces having the advantage
Have a member of Damage Control hit Bianca in the leg with a pipe before the match so she has something to sell going into it, or just beat up and take out Shotzi so they are a person short.

they could do this and debut Jade Cargill?

Wins the belt off Roman at Mania will be epic make it happen Hunter
From what I've read Roman and Heyman have a big say on who will defeat reigns for the title. Heyman has a lot of history with the Rhodes family so hopefully it's Rhodes at Mania.

did I read correctly they are deciding the advantage for the Women's War Games by fan vote?!
Maybe WWE wants to see which side is more over to decide who wins the Wargames match. I could only see Damage Ctrl losing if they go with Bayley costing the match and the slow turn on Bayley begins.

Miz and Gunther build
I like the Miz, I think he is underrated. I just can't see Gunther losing the IC title to him as it will drop the prestige of the title giving it to the Miz.

I don't think she'll debut until RR and win it!

Never suggested for a second he was dropping it. They would give to to Jey first anyway if he did drop it.

It's all about building Gunther. Even though he's had a very decorated career championship wise, props to him for putting over less established talent.

He unfairly cops it by the IWC. Doesn't really botch. Not injury prone. And actually understands you can be good and not entertaining heel. That's been a bit of a lost art IMO.

And by the way Gunther is like a fish to water. He knows he's appreciated but he's saying the right stuff both in interviews and TV to get heat. Sky is the limit for him.

I just think it's great both guys are putting in a 100% effort and doing well in a feud that ultimately will be quick and forgetten by most fans.

That's why having a fan vote is stupid. You wouldn't want them voting for the heels. Makes the baby faces looking bad.

Does anyone actually believe that the fan vote is actually how WWE will decide on who gets the advantage? Just lazy booking is all it is.

WWE really missed a huge pop if Orton's music hit on RAW the other night as Judgement Day were walking towards the faces in the ring. Can not work out why they would simply just announce, or tease, Orton instead of having him show up on the go home show. Real miss.

Was reading somewhere that I cant remember now, probably reddit, that it was to shut down the thinking that it would be CM Punk.

They still want to have the enjoyment of Orton coming out for the first time.

My only thing is maybe managing expectations around Punk so the crowd doesn't shit on the main event.

Lot of people have said he's not coming back, but I think if you didn't want them to shit on the event, WWE would have 100% ruled it out.

Will be interesting on Sunday.

There is also the rumours going around that Nakamura's vignettes have been directed at Punk.

The fact that WWE haven't shut the rumours down is a smart and a dumb move. Smart because people in Chicago will be buying tickets just in case. Dumb because the Chicago crowd could hijack the event with CM Punk chants or boos etc. Remember Rumble when Mysterio came out as entrant 30 and the crowd booed the poor bugger.

The crowd at SSeries will be chanting CM Punk throughout the night. Just a matter of what WWE does to try and stop it.

What a stupid way to announce Orton has the last team member without an appearance. Should have either had him appear on Raw or turn up at SS without being announced prior.

The fact they haven't completely shut it down is what makes me thinks he's coming. Like to think they've learned managing expectations.

There's been too many breadcrumbs dropped here and there. My likely thought is that Nakamura comes out to open the show, at least that's how I would do it.

Would be a perfect show to come back at as well. Not only in Chicago but also AEW are going up against Survivor Series also.

The one thing HHH has been doing since taking over is dropping hints at returns e.g. Bray Wyatt's (RIP) return. I agree with what you have said and there have been numerous.

Take it with a grain of salt but some of the clues have been Rollins saying on RAW a few weeks back “Cry me a river” twice, which was what Jack Perry said at AEW All In, leading to the brawl that got Punk fired. Shinsuke Nakamura’s entire promo on RAW the same night was essentially lyrics to Cult of Personality. Even Becky Lynch made a reference to one of Punk’s dialogues. Also, CM Punk keeps teasing on socials about WWE return.

I'm sort of on the fence if he is or not but the crowd would pop huge in Chicago if he did. The other way I look at it though is it would take away from Orton's return during the Wargames match also.

I like that Orton was just announced without appearing. Builds more hype for the PLE when his theme hits.

Also, in kayfabe, why would Orton be in the same city as RAW when he wasn't even booked? Cody only called him during the show.

(I thought the same thing with Becky but at least she's been active, maybe she was there anyway)

I can't see him ever joining the WWE again.

The best way to bring him back is through the crowd as a guest and create the buzz with people asking us he back or not similar to a Nash Hall outsiders type return.

I like that smackdown set. Pretty deadly are on though so time to watch something different

Don't think that would fly with fans in 2023. Especially considering he kinda gatecrashed Raw when he was under contract with AEW and they didn't make anything of it, other than tell him to go away.

That's why I was suggesting it happen at the start of the show. Fans are happy and have high energy for the whole event and won't hijack it, so they'll still be excited for Randy returning.
