Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Canada on 1st March 2025. so 7 week build to WM.
As long as it's not as short as 2-3 weeks between PLE's, I'm fine with that. Let things breathe a bit.

That made me irrationally angry.

Not only did Ciampa and Orton briefly cross paths backstage with no callback/pay off to the hilarious stuff they've been doing on youtube...

But this Roman stuff is shit. He hasn't shown any atonement at all. On the contrary, they went out of the way to show that he's the same selfish, egotistical prick that he was all along. He's not fighting for the tribe, or his immediate cousins in the Bloodline - he's fighting for himself cos he wants to be the Chief and the champ (which is exactly what he told Cody.)

And despite going out of his way to tell Jey and Sami to go **** themselves, they line up to suck his D anyway. They even had Sami raise the one before Roman.

Jey, and particularly Sami, couldn't have looked more pathetic coming out of this. What are they fighting for? Cos the Usos cost them some titles? That doesn't justify War Games, you're not going to "literal war" (in the professional wrestling sense) over a couple of titles that you've barely cared about since you dropped them.

I know what they're going to do - they're going to show eventual struggle and atonement during War Games itself, and tell this chapter of the story completely backwards.

You couldn't be missing on this more IMO. They specifically raised the apology as a plot point, they didn't forget about it.
Sami continues to elevate Jey, and be the guy who believes in him. Roman apologising to Jey is set up as a major plot marker.

They're showing Roman's bad traits because they're selling the redemption story. They need to demonstrate the bad traits didn't just disappear. They need to be resolved.

Sami looks like bloodline Sami. It's the line Jey gives during the trial of Sami segment- you never gave up on me because that's what family do. Sami redeemed Jey through giving a shit about him. He's going to be part of doing the same for Roman. Roman's character has its genesis in never getting over Seth's betrayal. Having his redemption from paranoia born of undeserved betrayal come from receiving loyalty that he doesn't really deserve and yet hasn't compelled through manipulation or intimidation (and in fact he failed when he tried those) is a far far more nuanced story than 'he got beaten up, so he apologises so he can win match'.

Roman's character development this week was that for the first time the uula fala was sitting right there, and he didn't go for it.

The ones up at the end, Sami asks Roman if he's in or out. It's Sami and the Usos throwing them up unified, and Roman potentially on the outside. He's not in control.

I didn't hate it. Sami is just about my favourite guy on the roster so I'm happy he's part of a big story right now. If they all come out just looking like Romans lackeys it's going to be lame but Jey had a point about coming out as equals. Remains to be seen where they go with it.

It should be leading to either Roman vs Rock, or a triple threat with Cody at WrestleMania. The Usos vs Solo and Fatu and maybe we get Sami vs KO.

Great analysis. I did see that with the Uula Fala and thought that was interesting he didn't immediately go for it but didn't really think why. I think you are right, there will be more to this apology subplot and we will get the full on face turn redemption arc with him. I think they will eventually all hug it out and the pop will be crazy.

maybe Roman vs Solo for the UF on Night 1 as the redemption, and then the triple threat on Night 2?

Heyman to return at Survivor Series?

Gunther-Goldberg?

Wouldn't be a long match so I doubt they would put it as a Mania main event. It could be an opening match on night 1, or do it to open the Rumble. I do wonded if Gunther will hold it all the way to WrestleMania or if he loses it along the way to Drew or Punk so they can do that for the title as Night 1 main event. So many options right now with such a stacked roster.

Rock v Roman. Leave Cody out of it.
Him v Cena?
Usos v Bloodline
Solo v Sami?
Gunther v Goldberg
Breaker v the only good one in Bloodline but forgot name
