You couldn't be missing on this more IMO. They specifically raised the apology as a plot point, they didn't forget about it.
Sami continues to elevate Jey, and be the guy who believes in him. Roman apologising to Jey is set up as a major plot marker.

They're showing Roman's bad traits because they're selling the redemption story. They need to demonstrate the bad traits didn't just disappear. They need to be resolved.

Sami looks like bloodline Sami. It's the line Jey gives during the trial of Sami segment- you never gave up on me because that's what family do. Sami redeemed Jey through giving a shit about him. He's going to be part of doing the same for Roman. Roman's character has its genesis in never getting over Seth's betrayal. Having his redemption from paranoia born of undeserved betrayal come from receiving loyalty that he doesn't really deserve and yet hasn't compelled through manipulation or intimidation (and in fact he failed when he tried those) is a far far more nuanced story than 'he got beaten up, so he apologises so he can win match'.

Roman's character development this week was that for the first time the uula fala was sitting right there, and he didn't go for it.

The ones up at the end, Sami asks Roman if he's in or out. It's Sami and the Usos throwing them up unified, and Roman potentially on the outside. He's not in control.

Very well articulated STO.

It was a very story heavy SmackDown which I felt was fantastic. Glued to the screen. The deepness and layers in the story is just something we haven’t seen in wrestling in so long, if ever.

And the best bit is the different directions in which the story can spiral and impact other members of the roster and other stories in the future. There is so much ground they haven’t touched yet which I could easily see becoming apart of the story.

Rock v Roman. Leave Cody out of it.
Him v Cena?
Usos v Bloodline
Solo v Sami?
Gunther v Goldberg
Breaker v the only good one in Bloodline but forgot name

Rock did a lot of interaction with Cody so it seems weird if he's not part of it but could work. We could have Rock and Roman on the same page over the next couple of months then have Roman win the Rumble and have The Rock come in and tell him to challenge Gunther as Rock is challenging Cody. Then Roman obviously decides to challenge Cody and we get Rock in there for the triple threat. Would be a fun reverse of last year.

I'd like to see them wrap up the Bloodline story for good though. It's elevated so many people but it's time to finish it and move onto something else.

Wouldn't be a long match so I doubt they would put it as a Mania main event. It could be an opening match on night 1, or do it to open the Rumble. I do wonded if Gunther will hold it all the way to WrestleMania or if he loses it along the way to Drew or Punk so they can do that for the title as Night 1 main event. So many options right now with such a stacked roster.
depends if they want to shoehorn a women's match as main for Night 1... they could do Gunther vs Cena to see if Cena can break the record.

3 way with Rollins? otherwise, Rollins vs Reed?

Don't like multi person matches (although there's every chance the people we're discussing could be in one). Yea Rollins v Reed I'd like if they can stretch it that far out without it getting monotonous.

If we get a Heel Punk and Face Rollins then Reed should be Punk's heavy. It will be good for Reed as it gives him a long time rival with a main event level guy and I think could help a lot with his momentum. Gunther is a heel champ and I think he already pinned Reed. More likely Rollins wins the fued overall but Reed just doesn't let it go.

I think Rollins for sure gets his main event spot next year.

Heel Punk while something I would personally like to see isn't something I think we will.

Feels like this was mapped out a long time in advance too. Like the lead up to Wargames basically started when we got the Tongans and Jacob joining and kicking out Jimmy. The seeds were planted that you have the potential now for a really interesting 4 on 4 match. If they go 5 on 5 will be interesting to see who each team would get. The Tongans brother Hikuleo would make sense but on team Roman don't know.

I'd be amazed if they didn't do Seth / Punk as one of the main events

Rollins vs Gunther at Rumble with Goldberg costing him the title like Eddie vs Brock.

Punk wins the Rumble and challenges Rollins.

Give Shayna a shot at the Womens UC she's a 2x NXT champion.

What's happend to PFC? they got pushed for a few weeks and now have disappeared
2 of them were in the battle royal last week. Not sure why Zoey Stark hasn't had a match in a month.
