every one night tournament has one of these, there simply is not enough time

the 1998 survivor series comes to mind... vince announced a 16 man tournament for the title a few weeks early... i was thinking, 15 matches in 3 hours?!?! no way they can pull that off

Taker and Kane both got a bye seeing as though they both got screwed by austin at the previous ppv during their title match, eliminating 2 matches and a 14 man tournament after all... then there was a double count involving Xpac, eliminating another match.... vince yelling "austin gets a bye?!?! austin gets a bye?!?!"

HHH was advertised even though all the smarks knew that he was injured, Rock gets to face the Bossman and beats him in a seconds.. quickest pinfall ever. Earlier, Mankind beat Duane Gill in half a minute.

So virtually, what was supposed to be 15 matches, ended up at 10.

on a side note, the tournament made it feel like a weird PPV, with the constant shots of Vince backstage... felt more like a 3 hour RAW.

I am wondering if with all these 3 hour Raws they might be looking at extending it permantly? Could be possible with an end to the brand split given SDs crap slot

Nope, they're just fulfilling contractural obligations.


Del Rio should be given the belt immediately. Kane was given the belt earlier in the year because his Taker story was threatening to take the spotlight away from the belt. Now Del Rio is the man taking the spotlight away. The man is fueding with two of the top three faces on the show by himself at the same time. Give him the belt!

Just watching the first episode of the new season of NXT, and I have to say, Brodus Clay is the best big man mic worker WWE has had in ages. If Byron Saxton had Clay's mic skills, he could be the next Rock.

For some reason, Conor O'Brian reminds me of one of those early '90s gimmick heels like The Repo Man.

Maybe it was just good production but I saw a trailer of the rookies on season 4 on Superstars and it looks like quite a good bunch, obviously haven't seen them in the ring but apart from that Ortiz-esque guy they all seemed to have something going for them.

gotta love the comedy of Santino!

Santino has to be one of the funniest blokes of all time in the business. Having him and Kozlov as the champs isn't a bad idea its sort of a throwback to the old school odd couple tag team . Santino has also been impressive in the ring since teaming up with Kozlov they just seem to be a good fit for each other.
