Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Been trying to find a way of presenting the uniforms better than the HFK template.
Here is what I am going to use.

It will take a few weeks to convert the existing ones over, but I think this one feels better to me.

Looks great! I approve! :D

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

On the Home page there are two options, Club by Club, which is just the jumpers, as has been the case since 1998 when the site was a page on Angelfire.
Also there is the new section, Season by Season, where these templates will live.
So far I have done Brisbane, University & West Coast (because it was one pic each) Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong & Melbourne. The rest will follow, and replace the existing 1897-1987 graphics. Then I will move on to the other seasons.

Reminds me of one of those japanese action figure dolls.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

OK, so I made it back to 1987.
All teams complete to where I was when I decided to create the new template.
So now we're back to adding in the seasons.
1988 is next up.

Great job. I definitely want to see the away/clash jumpers in season-by-season form, even if they are on a separate page, say for instance there is [2011] and [2011 A] (or perhaps "C" even, for clash).

I understand there won't be away/clash jumpers for every team in the earlier years of their existence (Essendon I'm looking at you!) but you could put a placeholder image in its place saying "none worn" or something like that, so the layout of the teams looks the same between the home and away pages.

I'm all for having two separate pages rather than having each team listed vertically along one page, because the less scrolling the better imo.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Mero, this is a bit off topic but do you know when the yellow footy started getting used?
I would suggest 1977 when the Night comp returned from a hiatus of 6 years, having not been played from 1971 to 1976.
Prior to that it was just the teams who missed the finals.
From 77 it was played as a knockout comp between all teams at Night.

They used to play on Tuesday nights at Waverley.
During the 60s and 70s they used to paint the footy White so they could see it.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Mero, why have you made one-offs for the dreamtime jumpers because of the AFL logo but not grand final jumpers that have a different AFL logo??

Also, why havn't you put the AFL heritage logo's on the heritage jumpers?

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Sometimes, I don't like you guys very much.

When I started this in the late 90s I wasn't allowed to use AFL logos, so I didn't include the Grand Final patches.

I guess the Dreamtime, Anzac Day & Pratt logos are the same.

What would be better for me would be to remove the jumpers with just logos like this as they don't really make it a different jumper. I'll have a think about it.

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Finished up until 1996.

Just counted how many Home uniform graphics I have to do from 1997 to 2011.
This allows for different collars, adding club logos like Melbourne & Richmond did etc
Anyone hazard a guess how close I am to finished? Bet it's more than most people think.
Just 1997 to now, how many different jumpers are there, just counting Home jumpers?

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Is this like one of those things where theres a big jar of lollies and whoever geusses the number correctly get the jar of lollies

Re: www.footyjumpers.com

Leave the jumpers in with different logos. :)

But if you can use the AFL dreamtime logo wouldn't you be able to use the GF logos?

Yes, well they basically let me do as I please these days.
Problem is finding 21 logos and adding them to 42 jumpers.
(1990 was the first)
