Looking back not a factor here - we were very vocal at the time that we were being compelled to accept drastic unders due to Port, and more specifically Ryder, backing us into a corner.

I’m flattered that you see us on the brink of the top 4 and winning a final, and you could be right. For me it’ll be another top 10 pick which I see as more value to you than us. Each to their own though of course.

You were inside the 8 for the majority of the year weren’t you, just fell away at the end. If you get a decent defender that’ll help a fair bit.
The flip side is you could also finish bottom couple too……my point was a F1 doesn’t guarantee us anything. If we had pick 3 it’s locked in. 8 and whatever else just isn’t enough for us, I don’t feel. We need blokes from the pointy end. A lot of sub-standard footballers running around for North at the moment. Anyway, clearly bit to play out. Brady and Co might feel the proposed deal is good, but I doubt it myself. Personally think we are trying to use 2 to get Reid and 3 to take McKercher. But let’s see. Would like it to all be over and preseason underway already.

Edit. Let’s also remember, with academies and FS etc, a F1 around 8 -12 becomes pick 14, 16 plus.

Pretty sure the rules were already in place.

You can't inject your players with performance enhancing drugs.

That future pick has to go anyway so it’s kind of redundant for North. I see their list and they need as many high end youngsters in as they can so 2 x top 10 picks makes sense to me. We need a real top end talent hence our interest in pick 2 or 3. I think it’s a win-win for both clubs.

I reckon this lad and BZT are pretty much of equal value.. both have strengths and weaknesses..

A straight swap is probably a fair deal.. maybe just slightly in Ports favour given KPD’s are pretty hard to come by at the moment.. the old short supply.. high demand = increased value comes into play.

While I agree, they did that deal because their F/S would have eaten up the 10, 17 picks so they would have probably only got 1 first round pick. Now even thou they lost them they still get 2 first round picks.
