MRP / Trib. Yeo offered a week

I wouldn't challenge , evidently he has been holding up the midfield for the past month with Priddis being less then average ....Yeo is a star in the making but a rest might be good for him .

I hope Gerard or Robbo have a go at the MRP on 360 tonight - no doubt they would if it was one of their love child's in Hodge or Selwood.

Mrp is a joke now. Not just because of this, but including this. No one has any idea how they will judge incidents, and how Lewis can get only one more week than yeo, whilst the other incidents shown in this thread (Merrett, Mitchell, McVeigh, Goldstein) get 0? Jarrad Waite smacks a guy in the head and knees him in the back long after he had taken the bark, and only gets a fine?

It's absolutely laughable the inconsistencies, and not just rarely but even game to game.

The fact you risk a further one week for trying to clear your name on a lottery decision decided but a group of blokes who have no idea of the modern game? Even worse.

All you can do is shake your head in disbelief. Ludicrous

It's easy to say "challenge he'll get off”, but no one knows that. We won't challenge because we can't afford to lose our most inform player for two weeks and the north game is huge. Lucky geelongs midfield hasn't been great this year, but it will be no easy task.

You know what would make the MRP less ****ing laughable, allowing precedence and getting rid of the massive trance of biased ex footballers on there from a small insular section. Get some respectable people from outside the AFL's boys club. Oh wait then they won't be able to contrive things their way.

One of these is a strike.

Its clearly a biased decision. The two other incidents are deliberate strikes and yeo is a careless attempt to spoil the ball. Fine at the most.
Campaigner Victorians.

Happy to appeal and go to court and get an injunction if the appeal fails. The law recognizes precedence.

I feel like the tribunal has been lenient this year and this legit should be thrown out based on the grounds it wasn't careless it was incidental in a genuine contest going for the ball. We could also argue at the same time the medium impact is low and it was the other clash he had that made the st kilda report a medium. 2 things to go on. CHALLENGE THE ****ER, only got one week because of Watson's bullshit.

I think we will miss his contested marks around the ground and inside 50, more than his midfield work this week
Someone needs to stand up. We've had a lot of guys step up but whoever takes his role this week needs to do it again.

I actually think Yeo would have played down back a bit this week potentially taking care of the third tall (Kersten?). Our midfield did more than fine against the Saints for the most part with Yeo in there for much of the game.

Can't believe he has been pinged a week for it. I'm sure the PROS and CONS of challenging are being reviewed before a final decision is made but I'd rather him just miss this week than challenge with a real possibility of getting done for 2 weeks.

For what it's worth I think the Saints medical assessment and trial by media is poor, has been over reacted and hence swayed the MRP. Bad bad decision if it sticks and he gets the same punishment as Jordan Lewis did for his later hit on Goldstein when he wasn't even watching the ball

Even more so the McVeigh incident. Clearly late, clearly forceful at his head, and yet nothing because 'its a slightly late tackle, oops.'
If you watch the mcveigh hit he accually try's to belt him in the play before and misses then wheels around and belts him the next time

I can't see how the concussion can come into it at all ! He came back on the ground after deemed fit by the saints medical staff .
Must just be the nose . Is it broken ?

It said in the Sunday paper that after the Yeo hit, Webster came back on and got hit by a team mate which caused his concussion, surely that was reported to the MRP.

Challenge, challenge, challenge, appeal, take to court. Worst decision I've seen this year by far, especially given both precedent in previous years as well as incidents in this round alone.

-No remonstration from the saints
-Umpire right there, says it's in the contest
-Slow-mo replay last angle shows he's an inch or two from the ball and well within its original flight path
-His arm flies back after contact, it's not like he smacked him to take him to ground with a stiff arm, just unlucky to hit the nose
-Injury report is irrelevant because it was a contest, should have been thrown out before looking at anything else
-Player had a head knock later that meant he was subbed out, medical reports could be confused
-Precedent of much worse incidents
-All commentators at the time said there's nothing in it and were joking about it
-Had nothing to do with Jordan Lewis....wtf was that about Tim Watson?

The eagles need to challenge this with footage from all sorts of different sources. If I were Yeo I'd be absolutely furious, I would risk it. I'd ask the coach to back me up.

Who is on the MRP? My brain can't even comprehend wtf they are doing
Do they actually get paid? My brain is about to explode at the thought of them receiving anything but burning dog shit as payment for their work.
