ive been fired for cooking sausages on a company supplied george foreman grill cause the smell went through Fountain Gate Shopping centre.

but the owner also didn't want us leaving the store to have lunch or tea breaks..

true story.

just adding to this, the kicker to this story is I was working the shift with another staff member who also cooked up some snags, and did NOT get fired for this..

I may or may not have challenged the owner on a few things along the way.

But the best part is I am clearly living rent free in his head because I found out almost 10 years later that he still references that exact 'incident' when training new staff, and I somehow ended being a cult hero to a bunch of new staff I never met.
