Anyone? Haha
15 posts. In almost a year. Sponge??
Thoughts now with Danger?
13 posts. In almost a year. Another sponge??
No zorko as signs look like he'll be in the fwd line again.
What signs?
The Jack Attack
Way too much "potentials" wearing a Melbourne gurnsey.

Need to take the rose tinted glasses off when selecting your SC side, same as when you do your tipping. IMO you've missed the Melbourne players you should actually have.

Just look at the team again. Consider the team name :D

Just some updates after our internal trial yesterday for anyone considering Port players.

1. Lobbe was an absolute monster!!! If he is not already locked in your side, make sure you sort your life out. He dominated all day, including looking damaging resting forward. Slotted 3 or 4 majors. Was very very fit too, ran like never seen before.

2. Butcher started FF, and kicked 2 goals in a minute and a half of play. Think he ended with 4-6 goals, not quite sure.

3. Wingard played half of match, came on and made everyone else look like they were in slow motion. Casually dominated everyone.

4. Boak and Ebert look as fit as ever and were on song all day.

5. Wines has lost his puppy fat and is a scary sight.

6. Polec played for the seconds team, looked sharp, however they got slaughtered (Teams did get rotated through the day though), so he dominate.

7. Robbie Gray is as fit as he has ever been, he actually had no strapping at all on his knee. Such a pleasant site to see for all Port fans. He was classy and dominant all day.

8. Schulzy slotted 7-8 goals and did not miss anything at all. Pure class.

9. Impey wasn't overly impressive, looked a bit overawed. Got a lot of class though, don't expect a round 1 debut i don't think.

10. Newton and Colqhoun were very very impressive. Newton racked up many clearances.

11. Moore is a physical specimen. His break year is this year for sure.

Anyway that's the bias port view on things, make of it what you will! :)

Based on this report if Port lose a game all season I'll be surprised.

So basically, everyone except Impey is going to break out or star this year :D

Thanks for the info, I always take internal matches with a grain of salt though.

Where does it say anyone other than Moore on that list is to have a break out year? With Lobbe it is basically just reiterating what everyone is already saying. I clearly said at the bottom it's a very bias view.

I said break out or star. And I'm definitely not having a go at you, I would probably do a similar sort of thing if I saw a Bulldogs intra-club match :p Impey, Gray, Lobbe and maybe Wingard/Wines are the SC relevant ones. Do you know why Wingard only played half the match?

Need help to get my team top notch for this season. Got a few w***ers at work I want to smash.

Ok another shot, again rookies interchangable really until more info. Feel like the midfield is a little weak in this one

BACKS: McVeigh, Mitchell, Atley, Suckling, Docherty, Kolodjashnij (McDonald, Fuller)
MIDS: Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Thomas, J Martin, Aish, Michie, Dunstan (Sheed, Morabito)
RUCKS: Mummy, Grundy (Thurlow, Nankervis)
FORWARDS: Dangerfield, Buddy, Chapman, Cameron, Crameri, Daniher (Garlett, Rohan)

149k in the bank

Hey guys,

Any help with my team would be greatly appreciated. Have $127,900 left in the kitty.

DEF: Mitchell, Hanley, Grimes, Atley, Suckling, L.McDonald (Cutler, Fuller)
MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Murphy, Beams, Thomas, Martin, Vichie (Sheed, Garlett)
RUCK: McIntosh, Sandilands (Apeness, Brown/Currie)
FWD: Dangerfield, Wingard, Franklin, Mitch Clark, Broomhead, Kersten (Membrey, Kennedy-Harris)

Very nice team, similar to mine. Bock is a massive risk but could pay off
I've got him for now, but whether or not he stays there will depend on preseason form. Billings waiting to replace him. Especially given I've got Rohan as well, it's a fairly big risk.

If you don't have Dangerfield, delete your side and try again.

Should be the #1 lock IMO. You're basically having a Top 5-10 midfielder as a forward where like in defence there's not that many bankable options wrt premiums.
From memory Danger had a very ordinary start last season but finished well at the end. With an away game against Geelong first up and Sydney in round 3 i am not sure he is going to start too well again this year. Better off going with the cheaper Martin, Wingard or even Pav who from all reports has had a huge pre season

More sponges..

Not real sure why people come in here, post their team, expect us to tell them how to fix it and the disappear for another twelve months.

No help from me. Get involved in the community or go read your jock Reynolds and supercoach Paige and make your own judgement call.

Hope the thread-ban option comes back real soon.
