Monfries and Moloney went to relative basket case clubs and Maric walked into situations where there was no positional competition.

Buddy walks into a forward line featuring Tippett, Reid and probably Goodes
None of Monfries, Moloney and Maric have claims to being a top 5 player in the competition over the past few years, apart from last year, and have ever been elite in their position.

Buddy is a gun, and he will not struggle. If anything, he would push out Reid, Goodes and Tippett before they pushed him out. Also Reid has been tipped to play CHB.

and still takes the cake as being the best forward.

Ahhh well, we all have our own opinions. I seem to recall that I was the only person in these forums 12 months ago arguing against picking Buddy while nearly everyone was saying I was an idiot and he was a superstar and a proven Premo and blah blah blah. Most people traded him out by mid-season :p

I wasn't here start of last year, but I didn't start with Buddy either :p And I'm not starting with him this year, but I doubt he's going to struggle at the Swans! :D

Well, that was a waste of a discussion then :p

First go, think its decent, definitely a bit to change though

only 13,100 left over which im not happy with

Personally, Laider to Fuller, Rohan to Taylor, Mitchell to Hibbard or Simpson, Martin or Aish to someone cheaper

Then, Grundy to Lobbe or Nic Nat and Fyfe to Pendles. Could probably stick with Fyfe over Pendles at a risk, but definitely upgrade Grundy to one of Lobbe or Nic Nat IMO.

If you want a bit more cash, I would downgrade your bench players to ones that aren't above 132K (so you can still have Dunstan)

You don't mean Lewis Taylor? He's injured.

Yeh the rucks are an area of concern for me, may take your advice with the mitchell swap too. Who would you swap aish or martin to?

I would change shoenmakers and upgrade one of ur rucks to a reliable premium, maybe downgrade a mid for rookie or mid pricer?

Schoenmakers to?

I like the move of Lobbe in the rucks, but you might want to get rid of Clark and Taylor. Neither will be playing in the earlier stages of the season if reports coming out of the league are correct. Strong team elsewhere, however. Probably a little more needed in the forward line.

I like the Shoenmakers pick, but your teams the first I've seen him in, other than my own.

I can understand why he isn't a popular pick though -KPP, coming back from injury and a figure of fun to many.

With lake missing the first few games, and from what I heard shoenmakers might be playing a little different role, I reckon he's decent value

Made a heap of changes to previous team selection. Interested in thoughts / comments ? Have about $30k in the kitty ...
Not sure about Ben Lennon - don't think he'll play round 1. That Richmond midfield is pretty packed. Vlastuin only debuted in round 5 last year (IIRC) as well, and the Tiges might hold Lennon back similarly.

Not too sure about Dom Tyson either. Bit of a risk in the early rounds coming back from injury and finding a spot in the Paul Roos plan, I'd probably wait a few. He wasn't too flash in our intraclub game. Jimmy Toumpas is a much better option IMO, his preseason has been red hot (kicked 4 goals and was best on in the same intra-club as Tyson). Of course the NAB Challenge will speak louder than my words.

There are better choices than Honeychurch too - M Crouch, Viv Michie, Jared Polec, Xavier Ellis, etc. Lewis Taylor is injured also. Other than that it looks like a solid side!

Thanks for the feedback. Agree Honeychurch is a up for debate and those others are definitely in my thoughts. Toumpas is one I was thinking of as well along with possibly Jack Billings at the Saints, Will be watching the NAB, ahem, practice matches, with interest !

What are you talking about?

Tyson dominated and was best on ground in the inter club game.

Had raving reviews about him too from the Dreamer poster who was at the inter club match.
