Very similar to my team, I reckon that structure with Beams as the 4th midfielder is perfect.

The thing I like about it is if a couple of my mega expensive Defs or Fwds spud up in the 1st two rounds and a couple of 500-102k guys in those positions that I don't have go BANG! I can downgrade, make a $ profit and upgrade 2 of the expensive non performing rookies to premos before Rd4.

If all the premo's kick arse, I only need to make 8-9 upgrades for the entire season, as I'm confident in carrying 13 out of 14 of my non rookies for the entire season.

There's always the chance that your expensive rookies could spud it up though, and then you're kind of ****ed. But it's probably one of the best ways to go this year, and the team looks bloody good :thumbsu:

Backs:Mitchell, Thompson, Hanley, Suckling, Kolodjashnij, McDonald, Cutler, Fuller,

Mids:Ablett, Pendles,Watson, Cotch, Beams, Carrazzo, Martin, Michie, Woodward, Crouch

Rucks: Nic Nat, Grundy, Thurlow, Lobb

Forwards:Danger, Martin, franklin, lennon, Z. merrett, Impey, Toylor, Garlett

$29,600 left over

Bit worried about the rucks and forwards. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Oh trust me, ALL those expensive rookies would be out of my team if enough 102-135k rookies were named for Rd1, I would then add another super-premo to the collection.

Almost the same as my set up. I obviously like this haha

Nice team if you have enough rookies named and avoid the vest for the first few rounds. Your mid and def rookies should avoid the vest.

My latest team...
Hopefully a little bit different.
Please point out any flaws (bye structure, line weighting).
The main concern I have is Blease and Rohan, but i had 24k in the bank and could change one or two of them after someone pops up in nab games.

Cheers!

Like it. Not sure on LeCras, reckon there are better options and yep, Rohan should change but see how the cup goes. Nice team :thumbsu:

Team 1: consists of expensive rookies/premos.

Vs

Team 2: this team is a little different to most I've made. Tried to build a solid even backline without dependence on rookies & prem players Bartel,Mitchell,McVeigh & co.

Who wins?

Team 1 wins in da long run. How do u fit McVeigh and sam mit in the backline eventually

Great question. I see your point. There's very little wiggle room value wise. I'd be burning trades for sideways gains without really moving. :thumbsu:

I dont like the HMac pick personally
I dont like the Cox pick (make him NicNat and save 60K)

I prefer team 1 but I'd turn Daisy into a cheaper player, maybe Jmart and use the cash to upgrade Hmac (then I do like the team quite a bit)

for team 2 I'd roll Cox to Nic Nat,Mummy, Pyke, Lobbe, (price range) & Jmart to a Michie and turn Daisy into a MMurphy (MMurphy has scope to be a top 10-12 mid, daisy does not IMO)

Team 1 is almost identical to my team except you have Rockliff & Birchall instead of Walker & Murphy. Looks like we know who the top 2 ranked SC's are going to be after Rd1. :D

Then he will be wasting a trade when NicNat's groin explodes. :rainbow: Cox is ever reliable and can pump out a few 140+ scores while playing 22 games. Set and forget! you know he will still be a top 2-3 ruck again (even at his old age) he's that good at SC. Every year he's expected to decline but never does. It wouldn't surprise me if he scores more total points than any other ruck this year before retiring.
