I had higgins at F6 and rohan F7 but cashed in on higgins to help the push for pendels. thinking of downgrading him back down to JPK or K.Jack and uaing the extra cash for upgrades across the board (mainly rookie wise)
I really like your team it's almost exactly the same as mine besides 1 or 2 players, but we have the same structure.
The only thing I'm considering doing is downgrading Murphy to Polec then upgrading Laidler to Mcveigh to sure up the backline seeing as the midfield rookies are much better than the backs. I'd keep Pendles if I were you.

Rate my team xoxo

I like the structure of your midfield (4/4), and my newest team has gone down the same track.
I'd be wary of Roughead as he may not have as much freedom/time in the ruck as last year and is a big candidate for an upgrade target later down the track in my eyes.

Obviously rookies will change a bit, but I like the overall look of it. Westhoff will be a good premium POD the way hinkley is talking about him.

NOW, I think i'm nearly there guys. PLEASE rate my team as I have offered quite a few opinions on others teams but haven't gotten much love in return.

I refuse to rate your team. You're too needy :D

I really like it, the Webster pick could be a good one and has been discussed around here, not one I'd go for but could be a good pick. I personally prefer going 5 premos in the midfield, but your forwards are a fair bit stronger than mine. Plus I love the Sloane pick, I might be a bit wary of your mids in round 8 as 3 of your premos have the round 8 bye, and Watson could be suspended!

I'm not sure on the Breust pick when you have guys like Pav/Gray still on offer. I thought he would breakout last year as he was moving into the midfield, and it didn't materialise.

Very good team :thumbsu:

I don't like Webster.
I'd also look at another forward around the same price instead of Kennedy ;)

Yeah, there was a few of those American sitcoms in the 80's I wasn't fond of either!

Yeah its good . The same issue as me- no cover for Sandilands when he gets rested after 3 weeks...guess you just hope at the particular weeks hes out that thurlow might get a gig?

OK here is two examples, both very different theories.

*edit - Team A should have Sutcliffe instead of Webster, Team B has no money to do anything!

A or B ?

I like team 2 better, but I really think you should look at downgrading Simpson to Shaw and using the 250k to upgrade Furphy, Caddy and Pyke.

That's impossible with no Rookies available! Why on earth would you upgrade Murphy? He's an Ultra Prem and cheaper than Hack Ziebell! I like T2 as well because of the extra prem mid and losing Cotchin is too big a loss.

edit - Sorry you said 200k, I assume you are suggesting a Suckling type instead of Prem. Just not that keen on him or the other options at that price, just think you lose too much.

Actually I was thinking of Shaw. Or, if you believe the St Kilda people (which I don't), Webster. Could even take Swallow and bank 100k if your cautious on those.

And I don't think Furphy is an Ultra-Premo by any stretch of the imagination - but that's just my opinion.

T2??? I never suggested taking out Cotchin :)

you have Thurlow in both teams and Zorko, why dont you replace Zorko with Dixon or Hale then you will have cover for Sandilands when he gets injured or rested?

thanks for the feedback. yeah I think im set on this structure too. murphy has to be a lock, mcveigh not so much?

imo fwiw

hes priced at an average of 92 points and can easily average 100+

will always be in the blues top 5 players for the game. tag or no tag.

will average roughly the same as cotch and is 80k cheaper
Come again for big fudge?

That's not happening. Even though we joke about Cotchin, there's every chance he will average 110ish. Murphy will be around 103 I think.

am I nuts if I am thinking of 4 mid pricers - Suckling, Thomas, Sandi, Caddy with the trade off only 1 on field rookie in the backs/fwds (McDonald and Rohan) due to the lack of rookies there?

It's not crazy at all. I've had all four of those in my team at some point. The billionth iteration currently has two. Sandi and Caddy seems to me excellent value. Worried about vesting from Suckling early on, and ongoing ankle issues with Thomas. But both could pay off massively.

Don't understand all this "Murphy is a lock" business.
He's not.

Same could be said for Chris Judd - get on board..
