Interesting that you would select the team that way. Personally I looked first at the players from other clubs that were the standouts:

Riewoldt (Stk), Brown (Bris), Judd (Carl), Sandilands (Freo), Frawley (Melb), Goodes (Syd), and Lake (WB).

So even though I think Roughead is in Hawthorn's best 7, with Riewoldt, Brown and Franklin I couldn't get Roughie in there. And I wasn't willing to push Brown, Riewoldt or Franklin out to fit him in.

Obviously you've done it the other way by picking from other teams based on your needs after Collingwood's best 7.

Roughead isn't in our top 15 let alone our best 7

Try Sandilands feeding the ball to the Swallow brothers, Kerr, Cousins and Black with Palmer, Lockyer, Haselby and Cassisi rotating through the midfield and then kicking it to Kennedy and Clark in the foreward line.
And then with Ryder, Taylor and McPharline as KP defenders.

Lake gives you everything mate, everything. Think mobility, brown and cloke? You missed O'brien for one. I would have thought chapman better suited to HFF and midfield than Pav? Just cant leave Sandilands out.

Lenny's logic is fine. The gap between Jolly and Sandilands is smaller than Pavlich and anyone from Collingwood who'd play his role.
