Yeah I don't subscribe to the theory that travel was a factor when we had a week off after the prelim. We had the shackles on the Dees midfield after quarter time but once they broke away with ruck dominance it was all over. If the margin was only 2 goals at 3 quarter time there may have been belief that we could hit the front again but that last minute of the third quarter was a killer.

It's my only knock on Lyons tenure at St Kilda - that with that stacked forward line the team didn't really play to its strengths

Also I think the wet deck may have helped Geelong more than StK
