I proceeded to celebrate in any extremely embarrassing Lleyton Hewitt-esque way at the Ainslie Footy Club bar.
One hasn't lived until one has done this.

[I have lived :D]

The only time I ever came to a physical confrontation was at a Freo game in 2008 when Pav hit the post and we won by less than a goal. Some mouth breather from the burbs wanted to take me outside just for wearing a Geelong scarf in front of families and the like. This was just as we were walking outside so I offered to take him up on his offer but he slunk off in to the crowd telling me to **** off as he walked fists clenched. Hope some other poor bastard didn't cop it.
Holy shit only time I was ever abused exact same game. Walking out towards the train station some dero threatening to kill me and all the good stuff. I just remember having a giggle.

The first time was Anzac Day 2004 and it was about 35 degrees. Troy Simmonds played like Paul Salmon incarnate and we lost by a few goals.
First afl game I went to. I wasn't expecting too much and the slow start didn't help. Really thought we were a chance when we kicked 4 in a row to get within a a few points in the last but couldn't finish them off.

I've been to Subi twice, both times v the Frockers.

I proposed to my now wife at that game, via the back of the Geelong banner (thanks to the cheer squad). Bad memories of that game all round really!;)

'Seniors' great game (as some have mentioned ) was a ripper.

Obviously Bombers' sandwich, and the result, was unforgettable.

And then the State of Origin 1984 game was a beauty, and while technically not a "Cats" game, it was really about Gazza, and I'm claiming it as a Geelong memory at Subi. :)

The final siren tonight because we'll never be back there again...

Yes when the curtain comes down on Subiaco Oval at the end of this season - the Cats will hold yet another record

Only visiting team in the competition to hold a positive Win/Loss record at that ground

18-17 the Cats way
