Your first Crows game

Dad went to the first game, but thought I was too young to go at the time, so I had to settle for round 14 1991 against the Brisbane Bears.

Funnily enough when we got out season tickets in 1997 (good timing :D), the first game with our season tickets was against the Brisbane Lions.

My first game was in 1994... It was a pre season game (from memory) against West Coast... I was 6 and I don't remember a lot except it was freezing and a night game... But I think we won...

Correct, we won that game in extra time (we made the then-Fosters Cup final that year before losing to Essendon). I remember not getting home from the game til after midnight - and using the fact the game went to extra time as an excuse for not doing my homework that night :D

My first crows game was Round 18 in 1991 against the swans at footy park, we lost, warrick capper was playing and i just remember the crowd giving him crap! crows went down by a few points that night. i was only 7 yrs old at the time. from there on i went to prety much all home games, been a member now for 23 years.. prob have been to around 250 games now lol

Unforunately I don't remember. It would've been early 90s. My late grandfather used to drive 4 grandkids up to the game. #history

I never came from a footy family, infact, they hated it. I started enjoying footy in the late 90's, when my school friends jumped on the Crows after the premierships. Not to be different, I jumped on the Crows too. I had nagged my family to take me to a game for a few years, until one of my cousins finally caved in and took me to Round 11 2001, at nine years old. Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs - Adelaide 14.13 (97) Western Bulldogs 19.13 (127).

Not a good result, but it certainly got me hooked on the footy atmosphere. Shortly after, I moved to Yankalilla, where I had virtually no chance of getting someone to take me to the footy.

I managed to get my footy loving dad (who lived in the hills) to take me a few times, average of once a year, as well as the 2005 Qualifying against St.Kilda and the 2006 Preliminary vs West Coast. By this point, I'd only seen the Crows win at home once. It never turned me away though.

In 2008 I turned 16 and got my licence I got a job, shortly after, a membership. Been to nearly every game since.

First trial against Essendon. Absolute chaos, I had to park the Panel van  (brought at least 8 people if I remember correctly.) at the back of Delfin island after I dropped everybody at the ground. Missed the first Quarter and a half! Great days.

Crows V Essendon trial game at Footy park 1991. First away game i attended Crows V St Kilda, Morrabin 1991.
Same - went to the sheedy Dons trial game, then hawks round 1 as 1st one for points.

Vs Sydney 1998 at the SCG
Just cant recall if it was the Rd 14 game or the Semi Final.

I know for a fact I was at the Semi Final. But Im unsure whether we were at Rd 14.

First home game I went to was Rd 1 2005.

First home win I went to was the 2008 showdown we won with no bench.

Did you see Big Ben Marsh kick3?

Or Vardy kick 6 from the wing?

Yes, I remember one of my dads friends going on about Ben Marsh's game.

Yes, Round 14 1998, thought we'd found a future star from the rookie list. :(

As a distraction from the Sando sacking/Cameron recruiting/Clarko and Bassett on board, what is the first Crows game you attended?

I was a tad lucky for my first match.
16th July 1993 - Modra kicks 13 against Richmond.
From memory he kicked the 13th off the ground in the square, the place went off.

yep - the same questions went through my head?
Did marsh star? or Was it raining heavily but Vardy played like it wasn't ;)

Boundary Rider Neil Kerley constantly reminding the commentators he was playing on the wing. Healy pointed out "He's only running one way though".

No matter how hard I try I just can't remember my first game, odd that.:(

Although my most enjoyable game was probably the one against Essendon when Hentschel kicked eight in 2006, and for some strange reason I also enjoyed that game against the Roos where we went through the first half without a single goal, despite the terrible weather.

Can't remember the very first game that I attended, I think it was against Footscray in 1992 or 1993.

The first game that I clearly remember going to was Round 1 1994 against Carlton - Modra kicked 13, then Worsfold destroyed him the week after :(

I went to the first game, and most the ones following it up until 1999 when I left SA - but my most powerful memory from those early years was the Prelim in 1993.

I was living in Malaysia and my dad was sending over the tapes for me to watch the games - this one came with a simple note "amazing".

Sat down with a few mates in the AV room of the Country Club I was coaching at - for an enjoyable night's viewing.

I didn't speak to my dad for a while after that.
