From what I’ve read that sounds right. I think Murphy is a good player, and could play wing or back also
I’d like to see him trialled as a back pocket as I don’t think we have much genuine cover for Luke Brown when he’s out.

Murphy could do with a rocket up him. He can be a hell of a player. I really want him to succeed. But he isn’t good enough for us to wait for him to come along. Needs to grab that R1 spot over pre-season and hang onto it for dear life. If we are at full fitness next year and he isn’t in the team in R1 I fear we may never see him ever again.
That seems overly harsh. Just a solid preseason is all he really needs, impressed when he played this year

Atkins and Mackay I have left out as they are world beaters in big wins but fail against tough opposition. I have Keath ahead of Hartigan due to better leg speed and better by foot. Fogarty will get plenty of games I'm sure and I hope he starts training with the midfield group as he has that ferocious attack that I would see him dominating stoppages. We need as much versatility as possible and start dropping players after bad games. Players need to know they must play 100% for the team Pyke needs to stop the free rides some players seem to get.

There are probably around 19 players who are given to be picked if fit, so just competition for the last few spots.All these teams look weaker than 2017 to me
The forward line in particular lacks the sex.

I guess you could consider it 'scoring' but don't think it would win you many games.
Thanks, bad news for Stengle I guess, but he has evasiveness on his side. Hopefully they will both just be bench warmers for Rankine this year anyway.

Whilst I know it's not an ACL, I wouldnt be so confident of Brad Crouch lining up in R1. Weve taken the conservative approach with him in the past, I see no reason why we wouldn't do so again.

We have a lot of quality players through the back 6 and I think this year we may start too see those players bleed out too other parts of the ground.
Would love to see;
1) Brown go forward and experiment as a lock down forward on some of the games best rebound defenders (Good luck rebounding with the Brown Glove wrapped around you)
2) Smith and Milera Rotate HBF/Wing roles
3) Laird get minutes through the midfield
I know all these guys are at home in the back six, and not suggesting we take them all out at once, but I would love to see the magnets thrown around this season to see if we can spread their talents to other parts of the ground. Let guys like Doedee, Kelly, Talia, Keath, McPherson, and Cheney (if still here) hold down the defensive fort.
