I have no one I would WANT to support.

I just know that it couldn't be an interstate team and def not Collingwood or Essendon as I 'hate' them. Not fond of the saints either.

I guess I'd pick the bulldogs or north as their underdog nature meant that I never hated them like the bigger teams.

As a Carlton fan I should hate the tigers, but I can see myself belting out 'yellow and black' on the odd occasion they don't give up a late lead.

It's funny because probably 80%+ of the people saying nobody would end up supporting someone, it's just nobody in their head now because it isn't realistic.

Would be Saints or Demons. Cousin goes for Dee's and he is great to watch footy with and my Grandma is a massive saints fan and we have some great conversations on footy.
Go with Melbourne, you'll be able to watch footy with your cousin for longer.

God help me...Richmond.

My local team I played for is the Tigers, the have the best team song and I just have a soft spot for them.

If you are choosing a team because of the higher chance of winning a flag then you are morally bankrupt.

This.
A fan of the game is not going to be able to stop watching footy altogether is my view. With that will eventually become the urge to get involved again by supporting a club. You dont get emotionally invested otherwise.how many people on bigfooty are just "fans if the game"?

If the crows folded i would support and it kills me to say this.

It will be

Port

Melbourne

Was bit worried for a while. Interesting point I doubt Crows and Port would swap fans much, although I do understand some Port supportrts backed the Crows in the AFL until Port joined. The Crows were a "clean slate" then but wouldn't be in the future.
I get the sense it would be different in WA but few have posted in this thread, maybe dont want to face it?
I think most already have a state league club in all traditional states, at least notionally, and would focus on them more. Wouldn't work in the Northern states as I dont think any would survive as a standdalone NEAFL side.

Might be worth holding some judgement till observing the circumstances by which your club exits the AFL.

Bulldogs as I rate their colours, would have to take Richmond's spot with the G as their home ground
