Your team's most intimidating players

James Walker for Freo is our hardest player. Constantly puts his body on the line for the team. Gilmore unlucky runner up.

The Thread is most intimidating players, not toughest!

Not too many going round at the minute. Nick Maxwell is not intimidating, do you think a strapping centre half forward walking to his position is going to think, gee Maxwell is picking me up, he scares me.

Jordan Banister, surely you're taking the mickey! Wouldn't scare an under 10.

Pickett for mine.

Which Pies player is it then? I mean, seriously, every Collingwood game, their is only two players that go to the man who lost the ball from a contest he should've won, or gave a stupid free kick against etc. etc., and those two are Nick Maxwell or Nathan Buckley.

My view from the outer, players are scared of Maxwell, they know he will be the first one to come up and give a little hip and shoulder running through. I guess he is a player who plays an intimidation role, and not exactly the intimidating footballer, but psychologically, he gets into these players, and you can see that, and as I told Zeke, TV cameras don't pick it up unless you have that reputation like Pickett.

Anyway, it is a petty argument, especially when the likes of Houlihan and Lonie get bought up...no-one takes it in what is said.

Maybe our interpretations of whats intimidating differs Lonie, reputations can make all the difference in determining who you think is either intimidating or not. Answer this question, your playing up forward and you're going to be picked up by James Clement or Nick Maxwell. Who would you have rather have pick you up?

while not as intimidating as a PICKETT or ARCHER, the hawkers have the campbell's( brown & robbie) as well as guera. Hodge has a bit of it too.
Oh don't forget young dawson:rolleyes:

Obviously TV audiences can't pick up on this. Nick Maxwell is close to the most feared player running around in the Black and White. As I said, the cameras don't pick this up, and never will.

I don't know how you could think of this being sarcastic...the thread suggests intimidating players, where did I go wrong...obviously I am not going with the crowd and saying ********s like Lonie and Houlihan.

That probably says more about Collingwood than anything else!!;)

Well I don't see as many Pies games as you do Lonie, but I would think Maxwell is one of the least intimidating players. Yes he acts tough, gets in peoples faces but I don't think it would do bother anyone at all because he doesn't look tough or intimidating or big at all. You've also got to have the experience at AFL level to gain that sort of toughness. You have to have walked the walk to be able to talk the talk. Maxwell, while has put his body on the line on the odd occasion and had some decent games, is not even close having that been there done that experience

It is the same people think about Andrew Welsh when he tries to act all tough, and I think people are entitled to think that, I agree.

Maybe you're right, but to me Maxwell looks like a Jack Russell thinking he is a Rottweiler. And it really annoys me, if I was a player I'd want to hit him, rather than be scared of him. You've either got it or you don't

How times have changed. We're onto page three and noone has mentioned the best fighter in the AFL. Maybe Baz needs to reintroduce a bit of mongrel into his game.

maxwell is hard at it and courageous, but wouldn't call him intimidating

perhaps Rocca would be the only pies player who is physically intimidating

Woosha...

Beau Waters is definitely one of the hardest players going around but I'm not sure about his intimidation 'factor'.

Nick's a good, tough, courageous young player but he's not intimidating.

I doubt any opposition forward heading into a game get nervous that they might line up on Nick Maxwell.

You might need to grab a dictionary and find out what intimidating means, cause I think you're all mixed up.

Nathan Buckley is intimidating, Rocca is an intimidating opponent. We don't have many.

How many times did Mooney get suspended last season? ;)

Pickett is a genuine intimidating player too.

Mooney a little punch to the stomach and gets reported last year , thats real intimidating

What are u pussy?

Its been taken out of the league

When Big Carl , Big Nick , Carmen , Dermie,Lethal or Mal Brown were playing u were looking over your shoulder . Today players are worried about long suspensions ,losing pay and the media attention for bad acts

Hey Trevor Keogh is still looking for his teeth in Perth and Mal Brown still thinks he's punching Carlton players in his sleep

Chris Johnson! Nick Nack Paddy Wack!
