Reilly is the only one that comes to mind from Adelaide. Surely he would generate alot of interest from Victorian clubs?? As an Adelaide supporter its dissapointing as i think he has great potential, but think maybe he has just run out of chances, particularly when considering he injured his hamstring today and will probably have to make his return through the SANFL.

would happily shop (and be shocked to get anything for):

bruce
bell
miller
buckley
bartram

would put on the table:
jones / mclean (either / or situation)
sylvia (just to see what nibbles he'd get given his turnaround in form)
rivers (what value does he have in other club's estimations?)

these latter 4 are the only ones of any value on our list that might potentially be of some value to other clubs. mclean / jones are both slow and mid-level in terms of skill, sylvia is showing wonderful form in 09 but what could he be worth on an open market, and rivers may be worth something but is not surplus to requirements despite the likes of frawley, garland and martin developing down back.

i think the first list are worth nothing.

I think a straight swap of McKinley and Leroy Jetta would benefit both clubs, Eagles sorely need a crumber. If memory serves McKinley was a big Bombers fan growing up?

From the Pies:

Sean Rusling - As much as I love the guy, I don't know how much we can persist with him, he has electrifying pace and a good lead and kick for goal, deserves another chance.

Ryan Cook - Trys his heart out, but doesn't really do enough in games and doesn't get heaps of game time so is suited elsewhere.

Tyson Goldsack - He is a favourite amongst the players, but isn't a great "accountable player". If run and carry is what you want, like a loose man in defence, then he is your man. We already have Shaw and Cox for that.

Danny Stanley - Someone please take him if he is to be delisted, because he's the kinda bloke who I could imagine would tear it up at another club. He is tough, in-and-under type bloke who regularly gets played on a flank at AFL level when he is a clearance specialist at VFL level.

Chris Bryan - He's coming third for goal kicking at VFL level, so anyone looking for a tall forward who can pinch-hit in the ruck, he would probably come cheap.

I think Toovey, Cox and co. are safe for another year unless a change of coach dramatically changes plans.

Any interest in the blokes above?

I would not be to disappointed to see this happen. Both players seem to even though playing different roles seem restricted to playing only in the forward line. Leroy hasn't really showed any great improvement in the last 18months for someone who is in his 3rd season at Essendon. Like Monfries unless he can improve his tank and take his turn playing up the ground or find some consistancy playing up forward Essendon could be tempted to cut there loses while there is still some value in him

Up for trade:

N. Brown
Coughlan
Edwards
Hughes
Jackson
King
McMahon
Pattison
Pettifer
Raines
Rance
Schulz
Tuck
White

Any nibbles for any of the following?

Luke Ablett - I can picture a team like Collingwood going for him. They've got plenty of ballwinners, but they lack a tagger, and their Premiership window is still open so they won't be rebuilding through WS and GC, so they can afford to give up a pick. If we could nab a late 2nd rounder that would be ideal. Collingwood fans, your thoughts?

Amon Buchanan - In poor form. A new home might be the solution. Used to be such an effective pinch hitter in the midfield, 1%ers were his specialty, but nowadays he looks a bit lost. Finds the ball, but unsure of himself. Still got a bit of youth about him, and a new home might do him a world of good. Again, Collingwood is a team I could see potentially go for him.

If Malthouse is still coaching, I wouldn't be surpised if either of them gets picked up. He likes those type of players - good honest tryers (see Toovey, Alan). A new coach, I'm not so sure. They'd be decent depth players for us to have I think, but I wouldn't like to give up too much or for us to go out of our way to get them though.

yeh u won't be getting much for those blokes unfortunately,
Bruce maybe to a team who reckons they're close to being a contender. 2nd round pick maybe?

You guys shouldve let go of Miller when we wanted to trade for him. We would;ve turned him into another gem like we do with all our trade-ins, stuck him down back at CHB and add to our defence and you guys would've got another draft pick....oh well.

you guys wanted Miller? i wasn't aware of that...

I'd also put Warnock or Rivers on the table from Melbourne.

Surely given Hawthorn's backline woes, they'd be interested in one of them? Both doing a good job for us, but with Martin, Frawley, Garland plus another youngster in Tom McNamara coming through, we could probably get by without one of them... Would want a draft pick or a reasonably young midfielder...

Perhaps Nathan Jones or Brent Moloney. We've got plenty of muscle around the ball, but need some more pace and silky skills there... Again looking for draft picks or young mids.

yeh last year we inquired about him, but you guys wanted to hold on to him.

Surely you wouldn't be letting go of Warnock?!?! he has looked really good this year, i agree that Rivers is expendable for u blokes though, could probably get something for him, though i reckon he has lostquite a bit of value over the last year or so being injured and with melbourne being down the bottom and with the compromised drafts coming.

Wow i can't believe u'd be possibly be prepared to let go of Jones either, he has just about been ur best this year hasnt he? Same with Moloney?

A bag of parkers pretzels for the lot

You outbid me!!

I cannot believe that a tiges supporter would want to trade Rance and i'm dumbfounded that anyone reckons they'd even get half a packet of twisties for Chris Bryan!:eek:

I would trade probably a used condom for Chris Bryan :p

Essendon:
Jay Nash- great kick decision skills are debatble
Lovett-Murray- struggle to get games next year
Jetta- lacking potential
Monfries- Possibly trade inconsistantant and may carry some value

Therefore Tuck, Couglan and Rance are trade bait, but the rest..........No thanks

OK ... so you wouldn't offer anything for Daniel Jackson? That's just stupid. A lot of other blokes that were in that list of players won't be traded either. Some of that list will stay at Richmond and the other lot will be delisted. Tuck is probably good trade bait.
