Hey mate sorry for the late reply. If he is available for Essendons pick 100%, but im starting to think he will go earlier. The talent he has, I don't think a back problem should hold him around where I placed him. One of the best inside mids in this draft with great endurance for a stocky size he has. A no brainer if available for any team who is looking for a inside midfielder

I'd rather Essendon go for Mitch Podhajski, has proven himself in the middle this year, a proven goal kicker, played some VFL this year. Closer to playing AFL than Bytel. He has also played in defence and did well.

But, just as many would prefer to stay as is.

It boils down to whether they like Sam Walsh or not. If they are in the no category they then spend much time cooking about pick trade scenarios usually involving the Suns that nets 2 top 6 picks for pick 1. It is unrealistic especially since the Suns changed list manager earlier this year, Craig Cameron is now the boss and he ain't a fool.

Word from some of those who are in the know is that pick 1 is staying and they we are taking Sam Walsh (the Walsh family has been informed of such).

As for the last point, we loaded up on kids in the past 3 drafts, if anything we have too many. Adding only 1 top 60 kid is fine with the list profile we have.

Note, if GC foolishly offered 2 & 6 the Blues would absolutely 100% do it in a heartbeat (and so would I).

Yeah mate to be honest I don't know much about Mitch Podjaski, but each to their own. Is he more of a inside or utility type? I have Bytel for now because Jack is a pure inside midfielder that has a great tank and amazing quick hands. If Jack gets the right people to help him with his back I think he will be a massive steal in the draft. The kid has hunger and dedication to the game and I think his mentality is perfect.

Now now no one is right yet since the draft hasn't even started. There is a massive chance Carlton can take Sam Walsh and there is also a big chance Izak Rankine can fit in with the reasons I provided. I am preferably leading Rankine number one because our scoring potential needs to be worked on as well. Yes I hear it everyday Carlton need mids mids and mids, but we also need a gamechanger that can affect the scoreboard. Carlton has not scored over 100 points since round 11 in 2016 against Brisbane Lions for crying out loud which back than wasn't that much of a achievement.

You can definitely tell your carlton fan, from that trade with gc. Your explanation on Rankine also comes across a little childish.

I don't think me being a Carlton fan has anything to do with this to be honest. How can you tell the difference between a club fan from others who just gives an opinion on trading Pick 1 this year and next years future pick which would most likely be pick 1-3 with some good talent to come around those picks for 2 and 3 this year. Doesn't determine me being a Carlton fan at all. Is it childish and silly what I said on being a plus if Rankine went to Carlton over Adelaide and rubbing it in adelaide fans faces or is it just some harmless bit of banter. Each to their own on how you perceive it but it was nothing personal.

Very unlikely Saint will trade down, as you said there are 3 to 4 in this draft that are once in a gen player. we keep 4 and get a champ.

I feel like if Blues fans want this 1 for 2+3 trade so much that it should give you a strong indication that it's a bad deal for GC and you're being biased.

I think Carlton fans are just semi shitting themselves seeing they have so many list spots and only 1 pick in the top 60 of this draft.

We have 4 list spots available only. We're not worried at all. McGovern and Setterfield were our wins. A couple of late picks will be fun to have.
