What do you guys think of cripps. Big mistake getting him without a preseason now i think about it. Just didnt seem like the player i seen last year. Wasnt hungry for the ball and thats without walsh. Thinking of going down to green. Cripps atleast this version wont even be top15. Should i persist and get green in another way which i can. Other option is powell down to chandler and flanders to green. Believe in flanders more than cripps right now relative to their price.

Pretty much so far. My biggest mistake was captaining dunks the looser. Im getting chandler and everyone else im giving more than a couple games. But i have to get green in as he is cheap and his form and opponents r just too perfect. Cripps is my only other premo that failed to get over 95. Wont be getting rid of dunks cause that would be a wasted trade as he will be top6. He just looked soo much slower than last year.

Haha but he had full preseason last year and looked good there too so he was fit and firing. This year he didnt have a preseason so clearly dealing with something and not right. So yes this version is accurate.

Thinking Hunter Clark to Ziebell and Stewart to Young.

Going Young over Daicos purely due to fixture and Port already talking about putting a tag on him.

Moves Holland’s to the pine as well as Bruhn goes into the midfield.

I doubt port tag him, we are going to try make him accountable the other way with sticking Jnr Rioli on him.

Well if you’re stupid enough to get him in round one then you cop what he gives.
Cripps is like a 3 trailer road train that takes 5kms to wind up to full speed.

He’s a round 5 or 6 option this year and only if he hasn’t pulled something in his battered body.

The big guy has been pulling the load for Carlton for ten years. He’s no nimble Pendles now.

I think a lot of people are probably in a situation where they dont have much they can do with their trades, coz no one got injured and no one has made enough money to trade down.

Therefore i think people are utlising trades to sideways trade, or maybe trade down to tom green and bank the extra cash..... its not necessarily a bad strategy, but i think once teams come out and a lot of the rookies are dropped, more people will have holes that they will have to fix

Port make you slower - that is their game. Let's see how the tear away Pies go this week.

I had Green from the start of last season, but got off in the nick of time. I missed two tons after the byes, but never lived to regret it. Not saying don't do it, I know the arguments that Taranto, Hopper etc are gone, but Hopper only played the last 6, Taranto missed a chunk. Let's just say his consistency is yet to be proven. Hope it does, won't be unhappy to get him late if so.

Smith to green ..to facilitate the dumbness of picking Baker and turn him into Daicos

My point is that there will be a new “ Green” this week.

Let’s say Parish or Merrett pumps out a 130 this week v GC

Are we all jumping on them then?

It's that sweet spot - that Honeymoon period after Round 1 when you can now see more clearly now AND before teams are named before Round 2 and all is revealed.

agree, but green could be a bonafide premium at a very cheap price.... if merret pumps a 130, you still not getting him cheap, so there is less urgency

its the price that is probably making everyone jump, which kinda makes sense. That being said, im not doing the premium swap, because i cant upgrade my team with 150k anyway lol

Daicos is pretty much impossible to tag once you’re in the real stuff and the pace of the game ramps up 5 times the rate of a practice match.

The bloke is like a wild hare running around like he’s on speed.

at least Xerri and jones did you a favour and got injured week 1, rather than be spuds for 3 weeks, and then you stuck with poor scores, no cash gen, and behind everyone else who are already using trades to upgrade their team.
