It's not about playing Meek and Darcy. There is a very strong argument we should have kept Meek and traded Darcy. Most premierships are won with journeyman type rucks and spending the money elsewhere is a more likely strategy to win a flag.

Not really, it's his natural position. He played his draft year in that role. It never would have worked at Freo because JLo wants all of his forwards to be strong defenders.

Henry definitely can't defend as well as other forwards. The point is that Ross would be willing to sacrifice defence for scoring and score assists from Henry. Imo this goes against JLo's philosophy which is why he would never have worked out at Freo. We will see if Henry can live up to that role.
