Really interested (and of course pretty excited) about the makeup of Div2.
Each year, or at least most years, the team coming up is automatically regarded as a relegation contender. In our former life in the VAFA, the top teams of the lower division would always match up pretty well with the bottom teams of the higher division, and a double jump wasn't uncommon. In the NFNL, it seems like the bottom of Div2 (for instance) are considered much superior to the teams coming up. Is the disparity really that big, and is there a reason why there's not much crossover?
I'm not suggesting the OPs will coming up and be dominant, competitive or otherwise, because I genuinely don't know, but the difference between the two leagues is interesting. One thing i am looking forward to is some nearby rivalries like Watsy, Diamo, Lower and Thomastown for instance
