Well what are his priors champ?Get your head out of the sand.
This would excite Geelong recruitersIf Jordy had been living in Salem in the 1690’s he would have been hanged.
However, if he was living in New York…well he would still be dead or approx 350 years old.
Thats some next level salary cap saving if Wrighty masterminded something this complicated
I think you are missing the entire point Mr Seedy. What a ******* load of s**t. He is allowed to have fun. He is allowed to go to Bali.
It’s such a cop out to blame management. If he had Craig Kelly he would haven been told no Bali. Wow what a hero Kelly is, it’s not like players can’t/don’t get in trouble in the city they live in.
I don't think he's keen on the media attention.I think you are missing the entire point Mr Seedy.
Degoo goo is IMMATURE ! An experienced player manager would mentor him and get him the BEST possible deal whether at Collingwood or any other club,If DeGoey played to his full potential and stopped F....ING around with childish in descretions and concentrated on being a great consistant player for the pies....... He does STUPID things all the time with his dumb F...K MATES WHO ARE JUST HANGERS ON. Cos he is a dumb F...k himself .That's why now Collingwood will offer him a short deal at low dollars or he can walk to another club on slightly higher dollars with restrictions in place. But If he decides to leave the pies then all his media prescence would go too like all players that have willingly left Collingwood. COLLINGWOOD MAKES NEWS NOT THE PLAYERS ! Degoey gets big media attention cos he is a collingwood player nothing else.He would not get the same attention if he played else where i can guarentee you that.
If it's legal and consensual by both parties and that's their jam, who are we to kink shame them?Precisely.
But a man who is on thin ice as it is not just in regards to Collingwood but his career in the AFL should in no way shape or form be even contemplating that sort of behaviour.
Do you honestly think if you had a track record, it'd be a wise decision to try expose a woman's breast in a public place with a phone recording it all?
Out of curiosity VP, do you think what Degoey did on that video was disrespectful to anyone? Given that we now know that the girl involved is fine with it.Any news out of the club?
I’m not sure of internal processes - whether this is handled by Wright, or maybe Brown - but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Board also has a say. And if they do, I think De Goey might be in trouble.
Rightly or wrongly, the outside noise around this is deafening and the Pies Board will be highly sensitive to this. Especially after the Do Better report. Of course that dealt with a different issue, but we are putting ourselves out there as a modern club which supports inclusiveness and respect in all its forms.
Then again, I may be wrong, and the whole thing will die a quiet death later this week.
Champing is so 2020 brah.Well what are his priors champ?
I wouldn't think consent had been given prior to the act actually taking place. She removed his hand pretty quick. If it's legal and consensual by both parties and that's their jam, who are we to kink shame them?
None of us know what those two were doing beforehand or after. The only thing we do know is that the girl has since said that she is ok with what happened. We all have to be very careful not to project our own sensibilities and morals onto others. She said it was ok and we should respect that.I wouldn't think consent had been given prior to the act actually taking place. Not fact just my hunch obviously.
In the context of the nightclub, and the girl’s willing participation, you could say no disrespect.Out of curiosity VP, do you think what Degoey did on that video was disrespectful to anyone? Given that we now know that the girl involved is fine with it.
Of course not but watching the video (the only semblence of evidence of what actually went on in the club), grabbing at her top and trying to expose her breast while the camera is running is such a crazy and dangerous thing to do in HIS situation, no matter how small the act was.None of us know what those two were doing beforehand or after. There won’t be and when the pitchforks are out this type of thinking goes out the window. The club need to get on top of this quick smart! It’s not something that needs to be sat on this long considering what’s at stake. It occured to me today , listening to Dwayne, what the most outrageous part of this thing is. He was mulling over what was an appropriate sanction suggesting community service but he would be ok with a short suspension. He then chucked in the idea that it may vary depending on what the woman involved tells the AFL re consent and her version of events.
There are people out there thinking it would be perfectly ok for the AFL to chase this women up and investigate her version of events. Thats totally inappropriate. They have no right to contact her or jursitiction over her and it would be harrassment if they did. For them to suggest to her in their opinion something untoward happened to her and they seek her version would be a violation. She has made no complaint and there is no suggestion of something unlawful which if there was would be the business of the Balinese police.
I hope there is an uproar if the AFL contact her
There should be no noise from the club. Just select him on Thursday night.Any news out of the club?

What's sexual harassment in one situation isn't in another.Out of curiosity VP, do you think what Degoey did on that video was disrespectful to anyone? Given that we now know that the girl involved is fine with it.
A Western Bulldog player did same type of gesture to the crowd recently after taking a mark in the forward pocket (shooting for goal). In the context of the nightclub, and the girl’s willing participation, you could say no disrespect.
But take it out of that context, and it’s hard to dismiss Jordy’s leering face and lewd sexual gesture. He’s being judged on the optics, and that vision in a general sense looked disrespectful. I suppose you could also ask the question - doing a ScoMo here - would you like to see a guy doing that in a public place to your daughter/sister/girlfriend? In private, sure that’s OK, but it was public-ish. I think the public dimension is important.
I’m just ruminating on how this is being looked at, outside the bubble of BigFooty.
The girl may not have cared, and that’s her right. But others see an ugly creepy drunk who didn’t care that his actions in relation to the girl were seen by others. And indeed filmed.
The Footscray child sex case from the 80s seems to have lost any traction whatsoever in the scumbag media. Imagine if that was Coll9ingwoodA Western Bulldog player did same type of gesture to the crowd recently after taking a mark in the forward pocket (shooting for goal).
In a public place (his work place) in front of thousands of spectators & viewers in prime time.
No outrage from commentators, Fox or other media outlets.
I don’t like the look either.
It’s the double standard that irks me.
