Well, my decision to not attend this week is directly linked to the clubs inaction and lack of public support to Jordan in respect to this entire fiasco.

Disgusted in them. Will cheer the boys from in front of my TV instead and to be blunt I hope others do as well.

The media are the enemy but the club can’t control that. What they can control is their public support for Jordan, and in this instance that support has been non-existent. In a week in which the spotlight has been on mental health what they have allowed Jordan to go through is pathetic.

I genuinely hope it’s our lowest gate for the decade.

The media has a lot to answer for, as each week they are looking for a target.

JHF as an 18 YO has had to put up with the relentless BS media stories for 8 weeks.

de goey... clearly no footballer can walk around and do what he does without attracting a crowd.... clearly he's not that smart in a common sense way, but you would think that his episode in new york would have taught him that.

I dont like the moralising by people like riewoldt and others. I also dont agree that jordan's behaviour is that important in the scheme of things, as he was acting like a lot of kiddies his age do.

However, you have to be dumb not to realise that a stunt like this is going to disrupt the club, and he's shown himself to be dumb

So basically the precedent has been set. It's not ok to party with a women consensually, we can disregard anything she has to say because we're 'respecting' her then it's ok to absolutely bully a player to the point they need time off.
If collingwood don't have the spine then the AFL should step in and stop this. It's gone too far when someone needs time off from the game.

I hope the club or anyone for that matter, has something in place to monitor his mental health and wellbeing during this time. He is high risk right now. I find it really hard to believe how many people think he deserves what is happening at the moment.

Okay let’s be clear on one thing, this situation exists because Jordy made poor choices in Bali. Yes the media blew it way out of proportion given the outcome but it’s not like it would be a surprise to Jordy given his history. Jordy was okay because at the end of the night the woman at the centre of this was okay with it, but let‘s not pretend that DeGoey’s thought process (if he had one) went beyond ‘wouldn’t it be fun to pull her top down in a public bar’. And in doing so he literally put his career in her hands because if she wanted to make a complaint about it she would’ve had a case and his career would probably have been done.

I thought the club handled it well. At the end of the day they didn’t really punish him other than the contract situation, but they got their point across that Jordan shouldn’t have put himself, the woman or the club in this position in the first place.

From a football perspective,I think we’ll see on Sunday just how important DeGoey is to us as a player.He’s only missed one game all year,the West Coast game,and our midfield was deplorable that day.I don’t see anyone on our list who can t play the role that he plays for the team.

I think its actually shameful how he has been treated.

Society talks about bullying, this is a prime example.

Hmmmm, if people are so convinced she’d given consent then surely there’d be some proof of that. If not, then just a simple “I don’t know” would suffice. Guess all you want but just remember, it doesn’t entitle you to assume some sort of moral high ground.

I don’t need to assume any moral high ground. That you’re demanding evidence of of consent. What is it that you’re looking for. A signed contract. A written letter. A handshake agreement. Or DeGoey asking her if he could touch her.

The fact she is seen straddling him and nibbling on his ear and kissing him escapes your gaze and understanding. What is it that’s happening between them? No one who is unfamiliar does that. People who act in that manner aren’t needing to ask if they can do things to each other. They just do them. It’s the natural acts that two people undertake during flirtatious actions. It’s sad that this has to be explained to you.

But I’m beginning to understand why it’s needing to be explained.

But No….there is no evidentiary proof that would satisfy someone like yourself.

Remy stating that there was nothing to see here wasn’t good enough for your moral compass. The fact Remy hasn’t come out and gotten herself a pay day from the scumbags attacking DeGoey. Isn’t good enough.

I’m sure there would have been plenty offered to her for a tell all. But again we have to listen to pompous know alls preaching from their pulpits on how there was no proof of consent.
