Given Mayes wasn't in the extended squad until DBJ dropped out I think its unlikely.Any chance Burgoyne could be medical sub?
Nah, will be Mayse…
His role is to run around a lot. He just needs to increase the number of pressure acts and he'll be the complete package.... I think Frederick is a bigger waste of a spot. Not sure what his role was supposed to be last week.
We really missed Motlop running around like a headless chook avoiding contact so expect him to return.
On TV then?Yes I watched it. And this rating is extremely accurate. To be fair though, it isn't even his fault, an out of form player being asked to play a role he has no experience in was a terrible mistake by the coaches and it showed.

How does this slip of the tongue happen I wonder? SUNS and campaigners aren't really similar words. Those guys must have been calling them that behind the scenes and he forgot where he was for a second.
I mean, this one I can understand:
Good, sensible changes.
Would’ve liked to have seen a Burgoyne debut but we need a small forward not another back pocket.
Jones goes back to defence to cover for dbj and where he belongs. And Motlop comes back in to a forward line missing a few smalls.
Butters out Boak in.
Clurey out McKenzie in.
Maybe if Burgoyne played half forward it would be melt worthy.
But seriously though wtf is everyone complaining about? I don’t get it.

I’m sorry, normally I could pick when someone is imitating but this is too real, did he actually say this?Thank god Ken hasn't got a plan in place for losing the rucks...
"It is just a fierce battle at ground level," Hinkley said. "You have to be ready and you have to be ready to move into every contest the right way. You can't go there pre-planning anything. You don't go there thinking, 'Who is going to win the hit-out? Who isn't?' You just know the game becomes live once it hits the floor. We have to be first to move ..."
Absolutely wrong. Jones’s pressure was directly responsible for McCartin’s miskick that gave Bjtters his goal, and for the miskick by Mills (?) that went to Burton for a goal. A number of other times he forced defenders into hurried disposals. To be fair, they were replaced by Lachie Jones who played half forward last week and offered zero pressure and zero offence.
Seeing this, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility

Our forward half pressure was great last week. We were tougher in the
Clinches last week, Motlop is a seagull.
Back to the usual.
Just ken deflecting blame off himself again.Thank god Ken hasn't got a plan in place for losing the rucks...

A traffic cone would stack up ok.Ok so how would you change that, who are you bringing in instead for forward half pressure?

I read some of this the other day and it's an interesting thought piece but it assumes Ken Hinkley is a coach with nuance beyond "work hardery for longery" which I dispute wholeheartedlyHow going without a ruck is helping Port move the ball, and why it might impact the rest of the league
As Port Adelaide takes a no-ruck approach to their footy, Cody Atkinson and Sean Lawson ask whether the move is sustainable - and will other clubs follow suit?www.abc.net.au
At most other clubs, Jase Burgoyne would have debuted five weeks ago.
