That game against Geelong earlier in the year was a weird one, we definitely caught Geelong napping early and went for broke and full throttle but yeah we did let them back in badly, but we seem to be finishing off games stronger this last month or two.

Even still if Rioli doesn’t give away that stupid 100 metre penalty just before 3/4 time which gave them a run on we probably win that game by 20-30. We did also seem to regain control in the last couple minutes too, with a Rioli goal about half a second too late that would’ve given us a 12 point win.

Just like Jed was named in the squad of 26 and then snuck into the 22, made Francis Evans the sub, despite playing well and kicking 2 goals against the crows, you just know Kenny is trying to pull every string he can to get Marshall, named as an emergency and get him into the 22.

From the Thursday night before the Freo game

Josh Sinn, Ollie Lord, Dante Visentini and Jed McEntee have also been added to the preliminary side, with all four players named on the extended bench.

The 26-player squad will be reduced to 23 on Friday afternoon, with the tactical substitute to be chosen from the interchange and announced one hour before the bounce
.

And Chris Scott will do his usual bullshit and make a last minute change to the 22 he named tonight, which was no change from their final game where they belted West Coast at home.

My money is on Stanley Out and De Koning in when he submits the papers 1 hour before bounce down.

We should follow the Chris Scott blueprint and submit our papers with McEntee out Sinn in and restore order and balance to our team

I hope this is a late change because as it stands we've lost a fwd weapon in DBJ and he would be a liability if he's directly replacing Farrell's role because he's not gonna break with speed and kick accurately!
I see the reasoning behind overlooking Sinn. He's not proven himself enough at the level and is injury prone but DBJ has proven himself as a defender. DBJ lacks the straight line speed and depth in kicking of Sinn but he's got better agility to go with the likes of Miers and Stengle. Burgoyne can also slide back if needed and Mead or Narkle can play wing to cover that. DBJ is however our best connector as a forward so that is a loss to have him move back.

Winning this game with three Geelong rejects would be interesting

Yep and any victory would be built on 4 qtrs of manic effort, JHF to play a blinder and if it gets down to a clutch goal

at the death all we can hope for is that the ball hits Ollie or Trav's foot.

Taking Burgoyne from the wing would be the dumbest decision since the last one.

Please stop suggesting it.

He’s literally the outlet guy. Lock him down back and there’s nobody to give it to when the corridor is blocked.
