Ok I'm intrigued about Brendan Bolton. He was pivotal for us during the three peat. Then he goes the Carlton as senior coach and is maligned as hopeless. Comes back to us and is maligned as a Clarkson yes man and like most I thought his career was over then gets the assistant gig at Collingwood and has helped a team go from 17th to a prelim. Genuinely don't know what to think, have we all underrated him??

Helped a team that played in a Grand Final a few years ago back to a prelim.

Of all the things that have gone well for Collingwood this year it would be an enormous stretch to contribute more than even a trivial amount of that to Bolton.

Nick Riewoldt is almost as good already. He's a brilliant commentator. Him and Dunstall are exceptional together.

Hard to attribute what has happened to who is there. He must offer something otherwise he wouldn’t have gotten the job in the first place. The pies list might be ok but the club was in a state of despair and there must have been quite a mindset shift among the playing group brought about by the coaching group.

I’ve heard he’s highly rated at the Pies. He’s obviously a decent assistant coach, I’m not sure how true the yes-man stuff was, I think that was more BF.

He was originally brought back as the director of coaching under Clarkson and then moved back to an assistant coaching position. I think that this was a misstep by Clarko as he needed to bring in fresh new ideas rather than going back to the well (probably some groupthink going on).

I mightn't have an issue with it if the AFL didn't have a horrid history of ensuring no one got suspended during the finals even for far worse actions.

In other words, we think it’s worth a week but no doubt you will appeal so thats our offer.

It is beyond a joke and a part of me think it’s ineptitude but apart of me thinks it’s just the classic geelong corruption at play, we shall see once the appeal is lodged.
