I'd be very upset if that story had legs :(
😂😂😂

Don’t stress. Sanderson just talking rubbish. Matt Rendell brought it up the other day as well. They’re thinking is he hasn’t got a place in the midfield with all these other players coming in, “what else does he offer?” 🤡

I'm happy with Zorko getting re-signed but certainly don't think he's a big deal re-signing at this point. I'd prefer he was replaced as skipper too. I'm also hoping he is played up forward a lot more in the upcoming season.

Don't. Listen. To. Trade. Radio.

Seriously, why do people do this to themselves?

If our list manager gets interviewed on there, someone will post a link.

Otherwise, why subject yourself to hours of bullshit interspersed with Frank Walker National Tiles ads?
Listening to Noble yesterday, drove home the point of how little SOS appears to know and understand. The only way I can imagine SOS holding the position he held at Carlton, was that he was a figurehead, and had people in each department of list management and recruiting who were the real brains, did the background work and explained everything to him, then SOS was trotted out to do media.

Whilst Cam hasn’t come on as we’d hope just yet for a few different reasons, if I was looking at our list now I’d have him in the same group as Hugh, Charlie etc in terms of how happy I’d be to trade them away.

It’s more than his playing ability right now, which I think will continue to be on an upswing from here anyway, but he’s probably in our top 2-3 players with Charlie and possibly Lachie from a marketing perspective there’s not a chance in hell we’d give him up now.

Sheer lunacy if we consider it.

Maybe announcing Zorko extends for 1 year. That is fine with me

Followed up with "it is time for a change of leadership direction at the Lions and as such i will not be seeking to be elcected captain in 2023.
I just want to focus of my footy in 2023 etc etc"
That also is fine with me

Gut says Gunston stays, don’t know why - just think waiting this long (without an obvious reason for the delay) usually lands on staying put.

Waiting to see if Fagan is going to stay on?

If he's legitimately coming to Brisbane, that is a nice surprise given the Fagan situation. Really had all the makings of a deal that fell through. 🤞🤞🤞
My guess is, that things currently hinge on whether we can get Dunkley, Ashcroft and Fletcher done. Our list management guys are probably trying to work out what the McStay compensation looks like if we pick up Gunston as a free agent, or if we have, or can trade for, an appropriate pick to satisfy Hawthorn, without compromising our ability to match bids on Ashcroft and Fletcher.

So Gunston probably is waiting on us to say, yes we can get it done, or no we can't.

I reckon he might be waiting on their BnF now. Clubs love rolling out news like that at those events.

Well, at least he'd be walking from the fishbowl that is Melbourne in a shitstorm into some level of anonymity in Queensland.

Jack Gunston could walk down Queen St with a T shirt that reads "I'm Jack Gunston" and people still wouldn't know who he is

Honestly, looking at SOS's draft history at the Giants and his trade history at the Blues, I'm not convinced there were any real brains behind the scenes either.

"Isn't that the guy from Mother and Son?"

there has been strong rumours that Rayner could be traded since mid season. Not because he's unpopular, or that the Lions want to get rid of him - but that his trade currency right now probably exceeds his on-field output and that window is closing fast

If you have a player that has currency, but isn't producing significant output - the conversation will always be one phone call away.

If you needed to trade Rayner in order to secure Ashcroft, Dunkley and Gunston, then it would be crazy not to trade him provided you got a strong return that allows a smooth process of bringing those 3 in.
