I don't think Robbie Gray is the most heroic player ever to play
I'm pretty sure he's referring to Joel Selwood

More than yours
That was more so some great guidance from James Rahilly with his one on one work with Fog. Rahilly mentioned it several times in his interviews that he had made it a real focus for Fog to make the footy his focus not his opponent.
For what it's worth, Fogarty will break out again, and will increase his output to kneeing McGovern in the back of the head twice a game.
Murray is an option to be a backup ruckman, but not a lead imo.
With Worrell & Doedee supporting Butts in the backline, it's very doable too if needed.
TT has the talent, but more importantly he has the mental side to really want to be the best he can be.I had my concerns too about TT, but the Collingwood game turned me into a believer.
He is a genuine option to pinch hit for sure.Nah, he'd get outworked in general play for sure.
I'd throw him in for plenty of CBAs though.
MutineerWhy there no poll on this thread?
We should list out breakout player in games groups. How about a new category:
Your 2023 "Break-in" player
Which player with 10 games or less will come in a play between 17-22 games in 2023? Doesn't have a Fogarty like "breakout season", just has to be consistent best 22.
Double break out. One for each Gun.
Hopefully gets his other arm/finger back before the season starts.
Hamill needs to come back from the offseason looking like this.TT ready to go. Was grabbing some good marks at the end of last season.
Parnell and Worrell.
Pedlar if his body holds up.
Taylor and Nankervis will be good players. Nankervis showed a far bit towards the end of the season. It may be they show a bit and are given some opportunity next year or really step up the year after (2024). Perhaps it will be somewhat truncated over 2 seasons.
Soligo to continue his development along with Rachele. Berry to continue his as well.
I am a little less bullish on Schoenberg, although he has shown enough signs. Even less so on Cook. I hope he surprises me.
Hopefully Butts returns to his earlier form and Murray continues to come on.
I consider both McAdam and Fogarty to have already broken out, along with Rankine.
Hamill can be damaging and breaks the lines. His pace and rebound is important for us. It would be great if he can avoid further concussion and stay injury free for the year. I think we will enjoy what he brings!
There is plenty to work with and be excited about.
Better keep him away from Delilah.I remain of the view that the arm strapping had a Samsons hair like effect and must now stay for the rest of his career.
0-10 - Taylor from Worrell & PedlarWe should list out breakout player in games groups.
0-10 games
11-20 games
21-30 games
31-40 games
41+ games
Taylor is my 0-10 games.
I need to check the games played for the rest.
It's less about ever being correct, and more about constantly bragging about watching juniors. Spare time flex.
Berry is a stud and expect further improvement from him.
Thilt has developed ok so far. Works hard but really looks like struggles 1 on 1. Looks like hes almost filled out. So far been more useful outside the front arc.
This is truly embarrassing for you. We come to this sort of forum for many reasons but certainly including to share ideas, the occasional inside intel and genuine specialised knowledge of some posters. That specialised knowledge Mutineer possesses whilst giving a hell of a lot of his time watching Juniors (clearly a passion for him. Sure beats yelling at parked cars that I imagine a number of other posters do for kicks) and freely regularly sharing (inc answering so many questions) with our supporter base. He adds a HELL of lot of value to many in here I imagine based on the respect he is shown by the vast majority on his Juniors opinions. It's less about ever being correct, and more about constantly bragging about watching juniors. Spare time flex.
Rahilly certainly took credit for it. Not sure that he was backed up by the player.
“I think, as well, it was just a little bit of luck and being backed by the team and the coaches that gave me a little bit of confidence to play better football,” Fogarty said.
“It sort of takes a bit of the weight off the shoulders and you can focus on helping other people and trying to keep improving your own game so it makes it a bit easier.”
Self-belief set to hold Fogarty in good stead
