Rory Laird with our second-most Brownlow votes is a bit sad :( (Admittedly tied with Soligo)

So Cripps was in the top three players in all but six matches this year, including 12 BOG performances. Just his BOG performances alone would have been enough to give him the most Brownlow votes ever under the 3-2-1 system.

In the top two players on the ground in 16 out of 23 matches.

Surprising that his team didn't do better with a superstar like that playing for them!

Who would have thought the worst standard of umpiring we've ever seen would lead to the most ridiculous Brownlow voting we've ever seen.

Time to take it away from the umps, give it to a 3 person panel who sit down and watch every game impartially during the following week and they allocate the 3,2,1 in secret.

Easy Peasy.

With the best forward, best midfielder, best key defender and extras like Walsh and McKay it's amazing they didn't at least make the grand final.

They have a 2x Brownlow medalist, 2x Coleman medalist, another Coleman medalist, the AA FB and a #1 draft pick in their team and they can barely scrape into the finals.

Shows how putrid their depth is.

I’m sure Weitering, Curnow, McKay, Walsh & co. all understand they are the side act to the Cripps show.

One man team clearly.

For everyone rabbiting on about how good Nicks is and this is just a blip, our best player to round 16 has just 5 Brownlow votes. Let that sink in. If that just doesnt sum up the reality of our year I dont know what does.
Like the umpires ever get anything right. FFS.

Look, he is big and he runs around in the middle of the ground where the umpires hang out,of course he gets votes - they would be like in the rooms afterwards,
"do you remember much about the game?..."..
"Yeah, that big fella Cripps was around the ball a fair bit"..
"Hmm, he was and even though he barely hit a target al day, I loved the fact he was in there trying to get the footy.."...
"But what about Sheezel?, he get the ball a lot and kicked a couple of goals.."
"Yeah nah, he played half back.."
Muttering and nodding...P Cripps 3 votes

Having said all that, these votes far better reflect the players and Cripps was right up there just behind Daicos at seasons end
