I’m hoping we really consider splitting the pick, trading it into next year or picking the poo or McKenzie. Everyone keeps banging on about bringing in elite talent but Jhye Clarke isn’t elite at anything, his ceiling is Brad Sewell in my opinion, which wouldn’t be the worst thing but not the most exciting either

But realistically who's going to trade out of this top 6 for a future first?? I wouldn't.

Agree, TD.

I think if MM was asked, he'd say regardless how the draft eventuates we'll end up with a talented player at our selection. With that in mind, why would we give that up for the unknown next year, especially given where our list sits atm.

Is the top 6 this year really that strong?

Stronger than 2020’s, sure. But it’s not a draft where not having a pick would be devastating.

Two top 5 picks in a strong draft is how you set about a rebuild, not taking pick 7-12 to the draft every year

Then we should trade our future first next year to get two in the first round in 2023. We need to get young players In the door now and start developing them. Pushing back just delays our progress.

If it's a straight swap of 6 for a f1 then we shouldn't do it, though if they sweeten it by somehow finding a decent pick this year or adding a f2 then it gets interesting. But only if Tsatas and Humphrey are off the board that is

There's very little chance we trade out our first this year. Our current midfield is as weak as it has been for many years, and our current pick will give us access to at least a few gun midfielders that can help improve us long-term.

As the poll shows we will get someone good at 6 its 24 that’s interesting it is a little in no man’s land. A bit late for hotton George konstanty most likely a bit early maybe for jones D’aloia lemmey. Assuming we convert late picks to 35,36 I would like us in an ideal scenario to take tsatas George jones lemmey and vickery Lawrence late/rookie. Tsatas is POD mid, George is in lieu of sheezel, jones partner for Moore as high hff rotating through mid but with speed, lemmey can develop as tall at either end to replace callow and see what happens with our existing talls.

George at our second would be heaven
