I don't wanna put a dampener on the mood (or maybe I do? I dunno) but McStay is yet to play a game for us. Those talking about him being so good and strong and such a presence...maybe wait until after he has played one good game for us first?

Who knows, maybe he will turn into a true number 1 key forward. I guess stranger things have happened....or maybe no, maybe this would be the strangest.

What is pretty clear is that you need to back off and stop making assumptions of whom one feels they are pestered by , you obviously went into hiatus mode for a reason , did you not glean anything from your self imposed exile !

I mean it's not like he's allowed to be anything other than "good humoured" or the media would cause a massive stir. He definitely made it clear they don't enjoy the videos.

Nothing to do with the club, but I have been trying to please everyone (fans, media, social media, the club), that I've realised I stopped trying to do what I loved. Why I started attending training to begin with it.
So I'm gonna start putting myself first.

I appreciate all that you do for us out of state pies , the video and pics you link are awesome along with your reports, lets me see how much our young players have grown and developed over the off season, it makes me feel more connected with the club and players. i log into big footy and your posts are the first thing i look for. I do not think fly has any problem with what you do , i actually thought what he posted was a compliment to you.

Nah. Especially in a one team discussion group discussion should be welcomed. Its really the whole point of being here. If there were other supporters members of our group sure we would present a more united and optimistic front. Amongst ourselves we can discuss and disagee.

For what its worth i am loving a lot of peoples optimism even if i tend a bit more to caution currently. Only problem with getting to over with expectations is it breeds unrealistic expectation. Intraclub matches are irrelevent to McStays likely output. We only get a first real feel for that when round 1 comes.

A 20-30 goal KPF , 2nd banana to Mihochek, seems what we should expect. If he can step up beyond that great but i wont be disappointed if he doesnt. He hasnt showed he can do more than that to this stage of his career

I'm in communication with the media manager so I know what they want or don't want, no matter what people think they know.
I won't go into detail, but they have no issues with the videos in general.

Glad to see this. Perhaps we can now get on with anticipating the season ahead. I'll continue to avidly read whatever you see fit to post here. I mostly don't look at the videos because I don't actually learn as much from them as I do from what you write. I am so very grateful that you do any of it.

Our game style with addition of some real quality recruits and depth in all positions has me brimming with confidence. Personal communications? Like a DM? That's not very personal as most people would just leak it and make the club look foolish.

Not a great look for them to go up to her at training and tell her off either.

Anyway, we all know Jen is doing it for positive reasons so not a big issue.

It’s all about the language and tone.
Language bordering on ridicule for those optimistic about McStay is unnecessary.

I won’t be upset if that what we get but I think he’s got a lot of scope to improve.

From all the training reports and his greater size,I’d say Mcstay will be our top banana up forward this year and Mihocek will be second banana,a role that he’s probably happy with,given that he’s had to carry the forward line on his own for so many years.

Hey i was giving him digital reacharounds from day 1
