Well we are talking about Nth Melbourne as a comparison.
So the bar for excellence and intensity is mighty low to have to be better than!

Nonetheless, it does feel as if JHF is enjoying being in a better environment now.

The Crows could have offered their entire list plus ten first rounders. So could have any other club, for that matter. If Jason doesn't want to go there, it's immaterial.

The choice for Norf was always trade him to Port now, or keep a disgruntled player for a year and then either trade him to Port for less next year or lose him for nothing to the PSD. Those were their only options. Unless another club convinced Jason to request a trade there in the meantime, other clubs have no bearing on the matter.

I'd expect exactly the same comment from any player who was going from a bottom four team to a team that should be pushing for top four and a flag. Port and North are at completely different levels of list development - our training levels SHOULD be much higher than that of North's, based purely on the level of talent on our list.

It's not pumping up Port's training standard, nor is it denigrating North's training standard. If you want to see someone having a dig at his old club, look at how Dunkley is going about it at Brisbane:

If he develops as we hope and he stays fit, theres no reason he couldn't be a 300 game PAFC player, and no one would remember 1 year of development at a wooden Spooner.
