l don't see either Daicos boy becoming big or hard enough for that. They're excellent on the outside and a coach would be foolish to throw them into the rock crusher.

Watch the AFL back this to the hilt, simply on principle.
If your arms out is “umpire dissent”, does that mean appealing for a free kick is dissent? If the ump doesn’t pay it, you were disagreeing with them.
If you’re arms are out after an umpiring decision, how can an umpire tell if your showing exasperation at them, your own teammates or are just generally exasperated?
The pendulum has swung way too far in the opposite direction, no one is abusing or screaming/physically intimidating umpires anymore, it’s gotten to the point where if you disagree or query anything you get penalised.

Well that’s a wrong decision. Do course he may have also said something or kept putting his arms out for way to long. Can’t say I have seen it or if I did I can’t remember. It was like the 50 against wilkie in round one. First time he pointed at the scoreboard the umpire did nothing but he did it again so the 50 was correct then. I can only guess he kept putting his arms out

It's annoying how the games on Sunday overlap with each other, they brought this up on AFL 360 last week, with only 3 games it shouldn't happen.
The problem with the dissent rule is the inconsistency, they pluck out one free while ignoring other similar examples so no one knows where the line is.
