My 6 year old trying to learn the game:

Why are points called behinds when the ground is an oval and technically the point posts are in front of the goal posts. Shouldn’t they be called “in fronties”?
Kelli Underwood and Dermie have been overtaken by another analyst. Give the young 'un a pat on the head from me.

I’m sure the Eagles fans will still find the youngsters that did play impressive…

Ginbey is a gun but how you find any of their other players under 23 impression is beyond my imagination tbh.

thinking about all their carry on about chesser …

Early days, small and biased sample blah blah but it is pretty funny that Freo, despite being nearly universally described as the team with the most conservative, boring style have a better % and more points for than 'two AA key forwards' Carlton.
Carlton haven’t played sides much better than the ones we’ve played either.

I don't care that it is only WAFL, Weags getting dicked by 169 points is hilarious.

The bottom line is that the Eagles pushed hard for a stand alone team. I felt the WAFL & AFL teams were benefiting nicely by spreading the AFL listed players over the WAFL teams.

Freo has done ok from a WAFL point of view, by teaming up with Peel. Benefited both teams.

To the Teflon Godfather, you reap what you sowed.

It was fun with the players spread out. But hard to create synergy for AFL selection.

Just give Fremantle a stand-alone team. Problem would be Easts and Souths protesting that.

Yeah, but their hands were kind of tied because no WAFL teams wanted to align with them. In a perfect world both clubs would have stand alone WAFL teams but it just isn't feasible when the AFL side is full of young players and/or have a heap of injuries.
